The Blackwood/Quinn debate of the 80's was the version of the Ginger/Mary Ann contest of the 60's.
FWIW.......
I had Ginger and Blackwood.
That must speak volumes about me.

Ginger looked hot even when she played a junkie prostitute on an episode of "Kojak."
THAT speaks volumes about me...

I had the hots for Nina Blackwood back in 1980, but I guess we have both grown up.

This doesn't relate to the inaugural ball but if any parents out there have Cable TV or Satellite then take a look at MTV or VH1. It is trash and there is not other word to describe it. I can't think of anything I've ever seen that is worse on TV. MTV may have been okay when they actually showed music videos. Today it's just about the worst thing on TV and that's saying quite a bit.
Find out what you need to do to block this *hit and talk to friends who may not know about what this channel is all about. It's tough to be a parent but you have to make an effort particularly with the younger kids. Good Luck.

Youth loves communism because of Che. They are against the stodgy old stalwarts (like anybody over 30 with a job). It's become a North American rite of passage for those who are emotional weenies. Ah, youth! Give me communism on paper! No ipod bread lines but sheer togetherness “now” in the euphoric trendy techno Obama bubble. The same bubble Woody Allen passed around in Sleepers. Youth are asleep.

Lisa Loeb and Kennedy were the same person. Same goes for Tony Orlando and Freddie Prinze.

FreeRepublic Had one for Bush! And for his reelection. Mike Huckabees band played for both.I attended both! I think we attended 9 all together. <<
Ah, yes, the good old days when Mike Huckabee was a sitting governor and still beloved by freepers. Then, years later, he pulled ahead of Fred Thompson's presidential campaign, so the history revisionists on this board decided to rewrite history and make him a "socialist"

The MTV inaugral ball. It will be packed shoulder to shoulder with young obnoxious Obamaphiles.
Challenge for freepers: not counting dangerous places, can you think of a place on earth you would less rather be in than that?

I actually like VH1. Especially the “I Love The...” series. Very funny and brings back memories.

I’d like a better headline such as “MTV to hoist Obama’s Balls”.
Oh well. I’ll have to wait for Hillary to do that (Calling Jesse Jackson. Have we got a job for you!).

Aaahhhhhh..... the good old days.........I loved MTV back then. It was fun, and for the most part, non-perverted.
To: Clemenza
I think I stopped watching when they did their non-stop coverage of Kurt Cobain's death....... For crying out loud they acted like it was the Kennedy assassination all over again. It was a bit too much for me.

Challenge for freepers: not counting dangerous places, can you think of a place on earth you would less rather be in than that? Our office is closed inaugaration day because we're only a few blocks from the White House. I'm going to sit at home and play video games, and ignore the whole damn thing.
