Words cannot express how blessed I feel by your outpouring of love and support.
I have been involved with prayer threads, but never on the receiving end.
God Bless each and every one of you for your prayers and thoughts.
I am truly humbled
I asked fanfan to take over a ping list for me, and requested prayers for me and my daughter and here we are.
I have few details which is what makes it so difficult, but I want to share some of my dear sweet daughter with you.
Natalie is a sophomore at a private Christian college in Arkansas, majoring in early childhood education and missions. She is a very strong Christian and conservative and since the age of 15 she has spent her summers in Ukraine doing mission work with orphans.
Unexpectedly, God opened a door for her, and three months ago she went to Zambia with a group of medical students and they have been working in an orphanage, an AIDS clinic, and doing mission work in the villages.
I have had very limited contact with her, but the few messages I have received have been heartwarming and heart breaking all at the same time! She has seen more than most 19 year olds can even imagine, yet she knows God is using her to further His Kingdom!
What more can a mother ask for?
Her team left Zambia Nov 4th and traveled to Uganda and Rwanda. There was to be no more contact until they returned to the States.
Last night I received a very short e-mail stating that Natalie was very ill and has a staph infection, and Natalie wrote that the infection was very deep and they had to drain it and that it was very painful. She asked for prayers from our church,...wait until she finds out she is getting prayers from all over the Country! ;o) ,
Thats all the info I received and there is no way for me to get a hold of any one.
I am leaving here in the morning and driving to Searcy, Arkansas and will see her Thursday.
She teases me about how engrossed I get with FR and she will be very touched to read this prayer thread (maybe a little embarrassed, but, hey, moms are good for that too).
I have been shaking ever since I saw this thread, I feel the love and support... God knows our every need, and through all of you, He has provided once again! God Bless you all.
Thank you fanfan for everything!
.
I will be sharing this thread with her when we return home...maybe I can convince her to be a FReeper! ;o)
Prayers offered for Jan’s daughter and for all the family.
