Franken Asks State to Count Disqualified Ballots @ 2:44 pm by Hill Staff

Democrat Al Franken’s (Minn.) campaign filed a campaign with Minnesota’s Board of Canvassers Monday asking the organization in charge of certifying election results to include some originally disqualified provisional and absentee ballots in the vote totals.

“There are, of course, legitimate reasons to reject absentee ballots,” said Franken spokesman Andy Barr in a conference call with reporters. “But it is clear that there are some absentee ballots that have been rejected in error. Those votes should be counted.”

The Franken campaign said they expected their campaign and the Coleman campaign to have an opportunity to present arguments before the board at 1 p.m. tomorrow, but opened the door to a federal challenge to the election results should the board decide against them.

“They want to count “under votes” that voted for Obama as votes for Franken”

Shades of FL 2000.

Coleman may be bad, but we hardly want to hand the RATS a solid 60 vote, filibuster proof majority.

Can somebody explain to me how someone who benefits from illegal activity can take the oath of office in good faith?

Remember the Simpsons? “Lisa,” said Bill Clinton, “You’ve learned a very important lesson today. If you don’t like the outcome, just whine until you get what you want!”

"But they should always throw out valid military absentee ballots. /s"

Goes without saying, doesn't it?

Yet, let's make sure 'Muhammad-Akbar Jones' and "new immigrant" Consuelo Suarez from Tijuana vote 73 times in one of ChiTown's ACORN-controlled precincts.

Mao, Stalin, Hitler, and Al Franken can give you some insight.

I’m surprised they aren’t trying to count “under” votes for McCain as votes for Franken - in fact, weren’t they trying that LAST week?

Why arent the people of Minnesota outraged!! Why is there no action from the Republican party? Franken is making a mockery of the election process and he knows it. He is laughing at our faces and we are doing nothing! Coleman is a decent and honorable man. Who is defending him?

quite obviously we aren’t all out of our tree up here... just 50% of us are. When do you recall MN ever being a red state? I think that happened once in a presidential election. There’s plenty in the water if you don’t filter it, especially in Ramsey, Anoka, Washington, and Hennepin counties. Of course all those heavy metals in the iron range don’t help...

I'm not about to give the RATS carte blanche to do as they please. It's just plain stupid to elect the opposition just to teach the dumb voters "a lesson". That might play in kindergarten. It's foolish to inflict that kind of damage on a nation.

That freak Franken may actually do the Democrats more harm on C-Span in COngress.

Let the public see what kind of fruitcakes the Democrat Party endorses.

Count my ballot, too. I didn’t vote there, or even live in MN, but my state starts with an M. That should be good enough. I vote for Coleman.
