A surreal scientific blunder last week raised a huge question mark about the temperature records that underpin the worldwide alarm over global warming. On Monday, Nasa's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which is run by Al Gore's chief scientific ally, Dr James Hansen, and is one of four bodies responsible for monitoring global temperatures, announced that last month was the hottest October on record.

Islander7, you are an optimist. They know about it and it’s already down the memory hole. Thank goodness for Steve McIntyre of Climate Audit.

A GISS spokesman lamely explained that the reason for the error in the Russian figures was that they were obtained from another body, and that GISS did not have resources to exercise proper quality control over the data it was supplied with. In other words, it's ALL suspect...they are gathering data from a bunch of ACORNs around the world.

They have already changed the wording to “climate change” to get ready.
That will cover any weather scenario to be able to keep the scam alive; and most importantly; the dollars flowing.

Excellent article. Nice to know that some areas of the MSM are still able to print the truth.

Looks like the earth is getting ready for a cold one.
To go right along with low sunspots. Walk through the woods and notice the mast, Apple, Oak, Hickory, Walnut, Beech etc. are loaded. Also had an abundance of berries.
The cycle is just repeating every twenty or so years, nothing new or different about it.
People like Gore are able to get away with the lies because a persons perception of history starts with the day they are born.

ask them why the giant glaciers melted 10,000 years ago
The best explanation I’ve heard came in a Sunday morning discussion on Fox and it came from the old liberal guy. He said dinosaur flatulence.

Look at how big Lincoln Navigators, Ford Excursions and the such are just to carry around a couple humans. Imagine how big dinasours SUVs were to carry them and their kids around.
Its amazing there is a planet left at all.

I believe God takes care of his animals by providing extra food if a severe winter is coming. My bedroom is under a large White Oak tree. The acorns are larger than usual and are very plentiful. It sounds as if someone is throwing rocks on my roof when they fall. The noise will keep me awake when the wind blows.

I've lived on the Florida coast for 28 years and for all of those 28 years I've heard that Global Warming is raising the ocean's level. But everytime I go to the beach the ocean is in the same damn place it was 28 years ago!.

Yet last week's latest episode is far from the first time Dr Hansen's methodology has been called in question. In 2007 he was forced by Mr Watts and Mr McIntyre to revise his published figures for US surface temperatures, to show that the hottest decade of the 20th century was not the 1990s, as he had claimed, but the 1930s. One day if conservatives ever find their voice, we will be lamenting the lost opportunity to lessen the impending ice age with a nice warm blanket of greenhouse gas.

Thanks for laugh! I needed that.
I have lived on the Mississippi Coast for 30 years. The Gulf of Mexico is always in the same place too. Strange, eh?
