Hi Bill,
In your recent Townhall piece you posit that there are Republicans who feel that
Governor Palin is too unqualified to lead, so it's better for them if they maginalize
her now so they won't have to deal with her again in 2012.
You couldn't be more wrong.
Her assailants, from the Right and the Left (and the media..., ahem) have seen
what she has done in Alaska as Governor. Huge Oil Company lobbies shut down.
Oil revenues going into the hands of the voters. Powerful, entrenched "old boy network"
mavens gone, castrated, or in jail... Democrats and Republicans.
Palin's attackers have no misgivings about her ability to lead. They see what she's done
in just two years in the Great White North, and they are justifiably terrified. They watch her
draw 30,000 screaming rally-goers in the same city where Biden drew 400, and their
bowels loosen.
For one as astute as you to imply that their concern, for good or ill, is over her
qualifications or ability to lead... ...really only speaks to your own candor and integrity. You can fool
some of us some of the time, but you don't fool me with your subtle innuendo. And as for
Palin's public detractors; their redeeming speck is that they at least don't masquerade as a
spin-free impartial observer who is "looking out for me."

Ted O'Baxter lost his remaining credibility when he LIED about FReerepublic, and "hid under his desk" when called out on it.
He allowed Sarah Palin to be trashed on his show by an idiot Obamamaniac reporter who used "unnamed sources" and did not challenge the allegations. So much for "No Spin".
He has no problem sending his producers to follow and harrass others to obtain a soundbite for his show, but HE doesn't answer for ANYTHING.
EVER.
He doesn't admit to being wrong about the "big oil companies", or Sarah Palin, or FreeRepublic. He doesn't seem to want to talk about his own history of sexual harrassment and perversions. BUT, he will put YOUR dirty laundry, real or invented, on the air in a NEW YORK MINUTE!
Ted O'Baxter may be right every now and then about stuff that does not matter much, but when he is wrong he is wrong about the stuff that counts.
Objectivity in the media is dead.
We need to pass the word to boycott his book and his products. Boycotting his show doesn’t seem to work because conservatives aren’t his audience by large but his books probably sell better to conservatives and moderates than liberals...so, ban his books....hurt his pocketbook...don’t buy his pinhead stuff....he has a lot of nerve calling anyone a pinhead....
That is the main reason to support her.
O’Blowhard is an Idiot... plain and simple.
He is just on an endless hissy fit because Gov Palin hasn’t gone on ‘The Factor.’ She’s been on multiple times with Sean and Greta, so Bill feels left out.
He became nice about Obama for the mere fact he went on O’Reilly’s show .. doesn’t seem to take much to win or lose his favor. Has nothing to do with qualifications or how well someone will govern, only whether or not s/he appeared on ‘The Factor.”
O’Reilly ~ O’Bama.
They’re all alike.
You're right about that! I remember BO saying that Kerry would have won if he had been on the show.
I'm guessing that he thinks Obama won just because he appeared on The Factor.
Semper Pinhead indeed. LMAO

Couldn’t agree with you more!
Like any mere mortal man, BOR can be right & can be wrong. It’s the latter he has trouble accepting. Actually, he has trouble accepting he is a mere mortal man, imo.
His bruised ego (Palin not going on his show) is so obvious. Poor little thing./s
O'Reilly may be pissed that she wouldn't come on his show, but that's no reason to march in lock-step with those whom he claims to oppose. He's a lying gassbag who's looking out for himself, period.
;-/
O’Reilly is correct.
There are people within the Republican party who want the Republican party to collapse. These people see Sarah as a threat because she will restore the party they have so desperately seek to destroy.
For instance, the leadership of the NC GOP has sought to destroy Republican candidates for more than ten years. Sadly, old guard Republicans have been too stupid to see it (No way a Republican would try to harm another, especially one who looks like a nice old granny!).
So ask yourself ‘why would someone seek to destroy the party from within?’
Obviously, it is an age old tactic that requires little more than dedication to a cause, persistence and a decent ability to act. “Moles” are everywhere, in every major group and this technique of “warfare” is not going anywhere.

President Reagan had to go through two primary cycles before he was nominated as the representative of the Republican Party.
Should Gov Palin not maybe at least go through the process?
O’Reilly will support Obama as long as he remains popular. As soon as the public turns against him so will O’Reilly.
Bingo ! You nailed ol’ Bilious right where it counts !
Yep...Bill has a little larger than life ego...
Absolutely. He's way too smart to believe that the Palin-haters in power are worried about her ability to lead. They are shaking in their lederhosen about the thought of her cleaning up the little plastic cesspool they play in in what they think of as their back yard.
Too bad. It's our yard, and we want 'em OUT! So does Sarah.
