The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.
The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.
WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.
The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

Have you read the story? It is a horrible attempt at journalism filled with “could haves”, “might haves” and “possibly”. Freeper bvw did an excellent analysis of the article which appears in the long thread which started July 3,2008.”The Honolulu Advertiser” even states the birth announcement appeared in the August, 17th, 1961 edition of the paper when it can plainly be seen that the date was Sunday, August, 13, 1961. It also says the one line item when it was actually two lines. They ignored Jr’s own words in his book which appear on page 39 telling of the walking tours taken when his father visited in 1971, and I quote:”During our walking tours we went past the first home my grandparents lived in when they moved to Hawaii, a house I didn’t know about, the one before University Ave.” The house on the highway was 14 miles roundtrip fom the apartment on Beretania St. and it would have been impossible for Sr to walk 14 miles to view the “first home the Dunhams lived in when they moved to Hawaii in 1960” as he was recovering from a car accident in which he had injured his leg and was using a cane at the time. “The Honolulu Advertiser” also leads its readers to believe that Ann Dunham was living in Hawaii from the time of Jr’s birth when we know she was in WA state by the third week of August and remained there until 1963. The article which appeared in “The Honolulu Advertiser” is one of the worst examples of journalism I have ever read! Also “The Honolulu Advertiser” ignores the words of Rep Neil Abercrombie who said he often encountered Stanley and little Barry going for walks which would have been impossible considering Abercrombie lives close to the Beretania St apartment. Please also note that the article says Nani Smethurst has owned the property since 1979 which belies the assessor’s website mentioning a sale in 1992 and another sale in 1995. Finally going to Zillow the description given says the property is a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom. The area is extremely high priced located along the ocean side of the island, too high priced even for a furniture salesman and his working wife, or for a struggling pair of university students!
From the Maui TV News article, we learn that Smethurst has been the owner since 1979. Slowly... working back in time.
I did not offer it up as support for the ‘alleged’ BHO birth in the US. I merely went looking for information on the present homeowner of record; Smethurst. A small detail of ownership since 1979 was revealed. More than what the assessor's office had online.
“I discovered that the use of African for race was quite plausible but only in Hawaii!”
I don’t understand your reasoning at all:
Your source explicitly states: Classification of the childs race or national origin for statistical
purposes is based on the race or national origin of the parents. The categories are White, Black, American Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Hawaiian, Filipino, Other Asian or Pacific Islander, and Other races.
Where is “African” on that list? Item 8 on the birth certificates of that time requested Color or Race of Father. True, IF this field were left blank, there was a separate field to code father’s place of birth, but that would have said Kenya, not Africa.
I don’t think there’s any evidence that Senior was at the birth. Sorry I don’t have a link, but I’ve seen more than one explicit claim he wasn’t there. But whether it was BHO’s father, mother or grandparents providing this information, all were well aware that Senior was from Kenya, not from some no-name area in Africa. Indeed, in light of the Kenyan independence movement of which Senior was an integral part, there was huge national pride in one’s own country.
Finally, not to nit-pick, but the list you provide of categories does not conform to the one in use in 1961:
Births in the United States in 1961 are classified for vital statistics into white, Negro, American Indian, Chinese,Japanese, Aleut, Eskimo, Hawaiian and Part-Hawaiian (combined), and other nonwhite. See details here:

The irrepressible Muumuus :)
Yes they do. Want to know why? Because they are never answered. just more if the same drivel, "I don't believe" or "I can't understand why" Nonsense form pa mom. She choose to totally ignore FACTS, and continues tell us about her feelings. Now bug off.
Because Hawaii didn’t become a state until 1959, records were in flux at that time and Hawaii allowed babies born outside of the state to have a Hawaii state birth certificate issued with some documentary evidence such as examination by a doctor, etc.
Keyes attended Cornell and has a PhD from Harvard, studied with Alan Bloom, Bill Kristol’s roommate at Harvard; Kristol ran Keyes first campaign.
Actually it would show that he broke several laws. When he was admitted to the bar, he swore he had never used any other names, or alias. I think there is a similar oath, when filing for president.
Just taped conversation when GW and the One got together las week. It was played on TV.
Ann only attended one semester of school at the University of Hawaii in 1960. She did not attend school again until she registered at the University of Washington in August of 1961. She returned to attend the spring semester at the University of Hawaii in 1963, and obtained her B.A. in Mathematics from U of H at Manoa in 1966.
Recorded as saying? COME ON! That is from Audacity of Hope (sic.)
Does anyone besides me hear KaChing, Kaching.
How is it a constitutional crisis if BHO is revealed not to be qualified? It simply means a scoundrel was caught and the office of President goes to somebody else. How is the Constitution threatened by this?
The Hawaii case brought forward by Andy Martin will be heard Tuesday.

Read posts 1278 and 1282 more carefully. Apparently, a fee was paid in 1995 in connection with a permit for a fence:
From post 1278:
Date Amount Reason for Permit Permit No
12/14/1995 $7,755 FENCE 380886
From post 1282:
Sales
Instrument Date Sale Amount Instrument # Instrument Type Recordation Date Land Court Doc# Certificate Number Book/Page
02/16/1995 9500053215 FEE CONVEYANCE 04/21/1995 /
10/26/1992 9200203913 FEE CONVEYANCE 12/15/1992 /
Thus, the “fee conveyance” apparently refers to the payment of this fence fee rather than a sale of the property.
From what I know about Hawaii, they have some really strict privacy laws. I am not really familiar with Hawaiian laws. Things is, I have seen sites like 1-800 US Seach, where you can pay a fee to get their birth certificate, crime records, and various other stuffs about a person. You can get it from any other person.
Where was little bambi while his mother was in Washington?
