Remarks against Obama probed
Durham police conducting internal investigation; chief says it wasn't a slur
Stanley B. Chambers Jr., Staff Writer
DURHAM - Derogatory remarks toward President-elect Barack Obama made on a social networking Web site are now the subject of an internal police investigation. A police department employee claims the statements were made on the MySpace pages of two Durham officers.
"There's no exact words that were said," said Police Chief Jose L. Lopez Sr. in a telephone interview Wednesday from San Diego, where he is attending the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference. "It wasn't a racial slur, but we're still investigating it."....................

The Thought Police made their presence known during the months before the election. Now they can go full throttle.

Why don't they get over to DU or the DailyKos (or the MSM)and probe a few thousand of the remarks against President Bush?
Which goes first...the 1st Amendment, or the 2nd Amendment?

Incredible! No racism stated and from what is posted, there does not appear to be any public computers being used. Assuming no tax payer owned PCs (or macs) were used, this should not be an issue. It looks like if you want a job paid for by tax payers, then you had better tow the Obama line.

There are sure a lot of people being investigated all of a sudden and Hussein is not even president yet. I don’t remember anyone being investigated for saying something about George W. Bush in the past eight years.

This is a shot across the bow of conservative talk radio. Its not only what you say, its what you think about our dear leader. And to think, the sob is not even president yet.

That was my favorite quote, too. Maybe they're investigating penumbras and emanations, or what they think the people in question might have been thinking at the time they thought about writing their posts...
This is insane.
