A gay anarchist group infiltrated the Mt. Hope Church in Eaton County Sunday morning, disrupting a service by pulling a fire alarm, dropping leaflets and yelling at parishioners, a pastor said. The group, Bash Back, was simultaneously picketing outside the church, beating on buckets and using a megaphone to shout “Jesus was a homo” and other slogans as confused churchgoers continued to enter the building.

Andy Williams
Words by Don Black and Music by John Barry

Oscar-winning title song from the 1966 film, Barry also won for soundtrack

Charted in 1966 at # 7 by Roger Williams and # 35 by Matt Monro

Soul version by the Hesitations hit #38 in 1968

Revised lyrics...

Born gay, as gay as the wind blows
As gay as the grass grows
Born gay to follow your heart

Live gay and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star

Stay gay, where no walls divide you
You're gay as the roaring tide
So there's no need to hide

Born gay, and life is worth living
But only worth living
‘cause you're born gay

(Stay gay, where no walls divide you)
You're gay as the roaring tide
So there's no need to hide

Born gay, and life is worth living
But only worth living
‘cause you're born gay

And did the local Lansing State Journal report any of this? NO!

How about some Letters to the Editor? And to think my daughter was actuallly considering MSU (only if she doesn't get into Yale and I can't talk her into Hillsdale). No way would I let her anywhere near that town now.

If her values are good she will do fine at MSU.

I have two conservitive sons. One is an MSU D.O. and the other went to Hillsdale and is now a teacher.

The MSU son got what he wanted out of MSU and ignored the liberal blather.

Hillsdale is a fine school and she will meet a lot of good people. It is small enough to get to know the profs personally.

Proud Dad? You bet ‘cha!

Email for opinions: dmelot@lsj.com Derek Melot is in charge of the Lansing State Journal opinion page. I just emailed him with the link to the Lansing City Pulse article and asked him if they were planning to cover it, or does he need someone to write a commentary? Their website says they accept 500-word Viewpoints. I live near Kalamazoo and am not sure if they would accept mine. I recommend that we all email this guy, especially local people. Then submit Letters to the Editor or Viewpoints. If this church won’t stand up for itself, we have to stand up for Jesus.

Thanks for your input. She is only a freshman in high school now, but she is starting to think about college, and of course I am starting to get worried! Glad to hear your son survived MSU intact.

LOL — good point.

I wonder if they asked a passerby to hold the camera so they could all be in the pic.

There are two categories of bipeds: people and targets.

The latter category is defined by its members' hostile actions.

These bipeds are targets.

There is also a very good, conservative, legal assistance group in Ann Arbor (whose name/acronym I can’t recall) that has taken on numerous high-profile constitution cases.

I would think that a member of the offended church would have an excellent reason to give them a call.

We've got one full time LEO, and half a dozen armed men who usually sit in our small congregation including the ONE up front who's preaching! In our church, it would have been up to the aggressors to decide just how far they would want to go. Escalating aggression probably wouldn't work out very well for them, and I can see a bunch of the "big ole boys" tossing them into the parking lot and not being very "gentle" about it. But if they want to go all the way and just have a gun fight, then we can go that way as well. SOMEBODY has to make national news with this junk eventually. :-)

Ditto...somebody who shows up near us wearing a mask and carrying an axe is probably not going to take but maybe one or two more steps, and that will be the end of that. You said it. Shoot em. End of story.

This is not likely to happen in Clay County FL. Half of us are active or former military, and we’re all rednecks.

Get a load of the photos of these nutcases in #1.

Excerpt:

The Rev. John Elieff, “Helps Minister” at Mt. Hope Church, said Bash Back members disrupted the service by bursting into the sanctuary, throwing fliers, hanging a banner from the balcony and pulling fire alarms.

“It was an unwelcome and violent demonstration,” he said.

-snip-

No one was arrested at the church, and, Elieff said, as far as he knew, no arrests have been made.

“I would have preferred that they had all been taken in,” he said.

No arrests... unbelievable.

Yeah... My 15 year old daughter was reading this thread over my shoulder and she laughed out loud, and I knew what she was thinking! It would be ugly beyond ugly for people like these to show up at any church here. I know for a fact that if a group burst through the doors where we worship wearing masks and holding axes that they would have "maybe" a second or two to put down the weapons, and then we'd follow SOPs....it would be like practicing two shot drills on the CQB range. But they're not going to come near people like us. They want "visibility", not "exposure". There are FAR too many people around here with CCPs and too many more who simply go armed irrespective of CCP or not! But then again, these lefty whackos know this and they'll avoid areas such as yours and mine.

We don’t march and threaten Catholics, Mormons and other Christians.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jiwc9ybBiAw&feature=related

Nor do we threaten elderly gay and rip their rainbows away from them. As done in this hate crime shown in the link below. There will be a short bumper ad before it starts:

We can boycott the corporations funding the repeal of Prop 8.

Boycotts can work for our side too.

There are many corporations funding the repeal of Prop 8.

Here's another gay revolutionary:

New York Times, September 11, 2001:
"He [Bill Ayers] also writes about the Weathermen's sexual experimentation as they tried to 'smash monogamy.' The Weathermen were 'an army of lovers,' he says, and describes having had different sexual partners, including his best male friend."
