A gay anarchist group infiltrated the Mt. Hope Church in Eaton County Sunday morning, disrupting a service by pulling a fire alarm, dropping leaflets and yelling at parishioners, a pastor said. The group, Bash Back, was simultaneously picketing outside the church, beating on buckets and using a megaphone to shout Jesus was a homo and other slogans as confused churchgoers continued to enter the building.

Oscar-winning title song from the 1966 film, Barry also won for soundtrack

Soul version by the Hesitations hit #38 in 1968
Revised lyrics...
Born gay, as gay as the wind blows
As gay as the grass grows
Born gay to follow your heart
Live gay and beauty surrounds you
The world still astounds you
Each time you look at a star
Stay gay, where no walls divide you
You're gay as the roaring tide
So there's no need to hide
Born gay, and life is worth living
But only worth living
‘cause you're born gay
(Stay gay, where no walls divide you)
You're gay as the roaring tide
So there's no need to hide
Born gay, and life is worth living
But only worth living
‘cause you're born gay
How about some Letters to the Editor? And to think my daughter was actuallly considering MSU (only if she doesn't get into Yale and I can't talk her into Hillsdale). No way would I let her anywhere near that town now.
If her values are good she will do fine at MSU.
I have two conservitive sons. One is an MSU D.O. and the other went to Hillsdale and is now a teacher.
The MSU son got what he wanted out of MSU and ignored the liberal blather.
Hillsdale is a fine school and she will meet a lot of good people. It is small enough to get to know the profs personally.
Proud Dad? You bet ‘cha!
Email for opinions: dmelot@lsj.com Derek Melot is in charge of the Lansing State Journal opinion page. I just emailed him with the link to the Lansing City Pulse article and asked him if they were planning to cover it, or does he need someone to write a commentary? Their website says they accept 500-word Viewpoints. I live near Kalamazoo and am not sure if they would accept mine. I recommend that we all email this guy, especially local people. Then submit Letters to the Editor or Viewpoints. If this church won’t stand up for itself, we have to stand up for Jesus.
Thanks for your input. She is only a freshman in high school now, but she is starting to think about college, and of course I am starting to get worried! Glad to hear your son survived MSU intact.
LOL — good point.
I wonder if they asked a passerby to hold the camera so they could all be in the pic.
Yes, but really cute suicide vests!
The latter category is defined by its members' hostile actions.
These bipeds are targets.
Great find!

There is also a very good, conservative, legal assistance group in Ann Arbor (whose name/acronym I can’t recall) that has taken on numerous high-profile constitution cases.
I would think that a member of the offended church would have an excellent reason to give them a call.
Ditto...somebody who shows up near us wearing a mask and carrying an axe is probably not going to take but maybe one or two more steps, and that will be the end of that. You said it. Shoot em. End of story.
This is not likely to happen in Clay County FL. Half of us are active or former military, and we’re all rednecks.
Excerpt:
The Rev. John Elieff, Helps Minister at Mt. Hope Church, said Bash Back members disrupted the service by bursting into the sanctuary, throwing fliers, hanging a banner from the balcony and pulling fire alarms.
It was an unwelcome and violent demonstration, he said.
-snip-
No one was arrested at the church, and, Elieff said, as far as he knew, no arrests have been made.
I would have preferred that they had all been taken in, he said.
No arrests... unbelievable.
Thanks for the ping!
