Rep. calls Obama Marxist, warns of dictatorship

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - A Republican congressman from Georgia is calling President-elect Obama a Marxist and warning that he might be planning to form a Gestapo-like security force so he can rule as a dictator.

Two-term Rep. Paul Broun of Athens cited a July speech that has circulated on the Internet in which Obama called for a civilian force to take some of the national security burden off the military.

I just explained to you with a laundry list of why the GOP was ineffective. Time to take off the gloves.

If Obama takes it all awawy ( i.e conservative talk radio & TV, our ability to fight in the courts, conservative internet sites etc) he will force us to the streets that much sooner. Conservatives can only be pushed so far and then they will erupt! I hope and pray Obama doesn't push us that far but if he does, then so be it!

I honestly hope we don’t see other republicans shooting off their mouths like this......at least in these early stages. It’ll backfire enormously.

Not of those conseratives who speak on the subject describe what kind of Marxist Barack Obama is -- and provide the evidence that is known.

This isn't like Joe McCarthy's list. We really know what we know. It is documented. The pressure of making this known must be continuously applied. As for Obama's term in office, call it "shots across the bow."

Take a look at the recent threads of his dissing the PM of India while he brings into his transition team a backer of the Hindu-Socialists.

It is only the moral thing to do, to keep telling Americans and the world about "the historical" Barack Obama.

I agree with that, but It isn't the One that scares me the most, it is his following, and even more, those who are pulling his stings. He has some very radical people propping him up, which is how we got here.

With Ayers they did not paint the whole picture either. It’s easy for Obama to say “I was 8 when Ayers committed violent acts”. The rebuttal should have been swift and damning, but it never came from Mccain or the GOP.

Pish posh. The voters didn’t CARE about Ding Dong’s foibles, his thug connections, his policies or his lack of experience. They voted for their jellybeans and ice cream, end of story.

The republicans need to oppose his policies, of course. But Broun’s way is the wrong way at this time.

I still think the core issue was Reverend Wright. The connection with Ayers was always difficult to show visually (ie 30 second ad). Wright provided 20 years of material.

McCain did not want to be accused of playing the race card... so the US is stuck with Obama.

My advice (for what it is worth) wait until the honeymoon has worn off. Then reintroduce all the material that was not used on Obama the radical as a frame for explaining to a disappointed middle class why he is making all those unpopular left wing moves.

I think Rush was right. The GOP won't go after Obama because he's black...so it all falls on Rush and other conservatives that calls it the way it is.
