Great idea. Or, he could also offer to carry the mortgages of those who are about to lose their homes. Surely, someone with such a big heart would be willing to do that, after all, how much money does one man need? As a matter of fact, George Soros and Bill Gates should join him.

Open Letter to Warren Buffett...

See, now, this is the kind of thing that makes us look like thoughless clods. Buffet should not do that. He should give his billions, all of them, to the US treasury because they will know the best way to allocate things. If Buffet buying out people just because they want to sell, he will doubtless put cash in some arenas where it won't reach peak efficiency.

We clearly know that President elect Obama has eyes on the wealthiest peoples money so he can spread the wealth thus as he says, “build the wealth from the bottom up”.

BZZT! Wrong answer. Obama doesn't want to increase taxes on WEALTH, he wants to increase taxes on income. His intent is to destroy the middle class so that he and his rich buddies can live like kings in our new socialist state with no competition from the riff-raff.

You are wrong. The "wealthiest people" pay no taxes on their wealth and they support Obama.

The Federal Government does not tax WEALTH. It taxes EARNINGS.

So, Warren Buffet is all for increasing income taxes on the EARNINGS of the "rich" two income family earning $100,000 per year or the small business owner putting in 70 hour weeks so that everybody forgets that his wealth in billions and Theresa Heinz's and John Kerry's $500 million wealth is not taxed at all each year.

Warren Buffet does not care about your letter about being fair. He wants YOU taxed so that his billions WON'T get taxed.

Warren Buffett should also refuse to employ any accountants or tax attorneys to assist him in the preparation of his federal income taxes. He should pay the maximum federal tax on all of his income and on the income of all of his companies. Otherwise, he’s just another mega-rich hypocrite.

Yer wasting JimRob’s bandwidth with this. Within a month after the Obamessiah announced that he didn’t believe that he paid enough in taxes (I don’t believe he does, either), Warren Buffett said the same thing. Should tell ya everything you ought to know about Warren Buffett.

So we can expect major tax increases to help in his dream, which will put many small business owners in metal anguish.

I don't see how tax increases puts small business owners in metal anguish---explain.

Warren Buffett's investment firm Berkshire Hathaway reports huge losses.

I'm sure he feels our pain.

You are big supporter of the Democrat Party and the new President, which is admirable. You being one with a big heart toward many good causes which I know that makes you one to hear me out on what you could do to help fulfill the Democrat Party of equal and just nation.

Be sure that you understand that while Warren Buffett supports the Dems, one reason he does so is because he can make big money from their governing.

Warren Buffett is a great believer in the death tax because his very profitable companies sell insurance products that help those hit hard by death taxes avoid as much of that tax as is possible.

Warren Buffett is like the country club republicans, as long as they can buy Senators, Congressmen, or a President to protect and enhance their wealth, they are very apolitical.

Obama has his eyes on high income earners, not the true wealthy. The truly wealthy like Buffett already have theirs and work to keep income taxed and make sure it is damed near impossible to for those who work for a living to achieve true wealth. They can afford to be liberal. If the Fairtax were implemented, then the really wealthy would pay through this consumption tax.

Buffet is a complete hypocrite, to avoid estate taxes he is leaving his money to a foundation.
His real effective mariginal tax rate is 18% because he has a lot of his personal wealth in bonds.

But he wants the rest of us to pay taxes and give our estates to the IRS because it’s the right thing to do.

High taxes don’t harm the rich; they serve, instead, to keep others from getting rich.
