Open Letter to Warren Buffett

Open Letter to Warren Buffett

Now I don’t normally post and I have no idea how to send a letter to Warren Buffett the billionaire yet it’s still a free country I hope.

We clearly know that President elect Obama has eyes on the wealthiest peoples money so he can spread the wealth thus as he says, “build the wealth from the bottom up”. So we can expect major tax increases to help in his dream, which will put many small business owners in metal anguish.

You are big supporter of the Democrat Party and the new President, which is admirable. You being one with a big heart toward many good causes which I know that makes you one to hear me out on what you could do to help fulfill the Democrat Party of equal and just nation.

I suggest that you sir put your billions to work for the whole by offering to buy out at fair market value all small business owners who feel that they will be unable to continue with business because of tax or regulative conditions that removes the incentive to do business. Secondly you maintain and enhance the working conditions of each of those businesses thus keeping them productive building the wealth of the country so your President and mine will have the money to build from the bottom up! Think of it has saving government and building your fortunes plus Democratic Party! Hand in hand bring our country to new levels of economic power, what a life! I would be even willing help donate for a bronze statue of you and ask that it could be placed on the capital lawn reminding people of the great power of capitalism and bureaucracy.

Last point, Mr. Buffett if you implemented this plan it would allow the Democratic Party and our president elect not to worry about small business, for small business owners would have a privately funded bailout program, Wow Now We Are Going Places!

Obama has his eyes on high income earners, not the true wealthy. The truly wealthy like Buffett already have theirs and work to keep income taxed and make sure it is damed near impossible to for those who work for a living to achieve true wealth. They can afford to be liberal. If the Fairtax were implemented, then the really wealthy would pay through this consumption tax.

BZZT! Wrong answer. Obama doesn't want to increase taxes on WEALTH, he wants to increase taxes on income.

Thank you for expressing this fundamental truth so well. :)

Yeah, I could use some of that. Maybe we should all start chanting “Where’s my pie!”

Buffet is a complete hypocrite, to avoid estate taxes he is leaving his money to a foundation.
His real effective mariginal tax rate is 18% because he has a lot of his personal wealth in bonds.

But he wants the rest of us to pay taxes and give our estates to the IRS because it’s the right thing to do.

High taxes don’t harm the rich; they serve, instead, to keep others from getting rich.
