When you lose an election like we just did, it brings out the best those family, friends, and acquaintences of yours who don't share your political beliefs.
In 2004, I tried my best not to gloat at all because I understood that for many of our opponents, politics is their religion and to watch Kerry lose, it was like watching a family member die. I get no pleasure in being a jackass and trying to rub salt into people's wounds.
Liberals generally have no such reservations, so I'm sure we've all gotten an earful today.
So let's start a thread for posting some of the dumbest things people have said to us today at the advent of Obamanation. It might be the kind of thing we can look back on in 2010 or 2012 and say, "Oh yeah, I forgot what that little snot said."
Hi!
Just in case you might be wondering how James and I are feeling today, I thought I would just drop a note.
We are doing just fine and will continue to carry on knowing that we stood strong and voted for our conservative values along with over 56 million other Americans. We feel happy and proud to be among those 56+ million Americans who believe in our Constitutional freedoms and free market Capitalism!
We are disappointed that so many Americans decided to vote for Socialism/Communism, but we know that once they realize what big government/Socialism brings they will change their minds and vote again to preserve Constitutional freedoms and free market Capitalism.
So James and I will continue to look forward to the future and will continue to pray that our Constitutional freedoms remain intact during the next four years!
It was...the “locals” in DC kept me and the wife up, they were screaming like idiots in the damn streets. Got so bad I did call the cops.
Some of my co-workers white people libs were just gloating inside while my fist was clenched.
A co-worker Obamunist insisted today that the Latino vote was conservative and would help Republicans in the future and that the county map in Texas proved that.
This is from a friend growing up. Not the election, but Prop 8 (Homo Marriage Ban) in CA.
“I can’t believe Prop 8 failed. Shame on you religion. Shame on you Mormons.” (He’s an ex-Mormon, turned Atheist)
The best quote of the day, a joke from another friend.
“How do you know when you’ve walked into a gay bar? The guy next to you asks if he can push in your stool.”
I know. I know. Mod?
Similar reaction to one I got from an acquaintance today. "I didn't think he'd really win. I just wanted to make a statement." But he soothed himself by saying, "At least he didn't win by one vote." How many of these morons were there?
In Philly the New Black Panthers are in Uniform with Nightsticks at the Polls. What a great Liberal craphole.
My 53-year-old-middle-school-teacher-sister-in-Maine posted on Facebook that she is relaxing and celebrating the end of fearmongering (sic) in America.
A little more of this and I'll feel way less bad about losing.
Not me...as a Jew...I meant never again...it comes to that...I intend to put the wife on a plane...and then disappear.
Maybe they need to learn the story about Custer.
Well, at least the DUmmies won’t be too happy:
So I was walking around DC last night after Obama won, and a reporter stopped me and asked, “Are you glad that after 8 years we have a new president.”
To which I responded, “yeah I'm glad the constitution was followed and that no one is serving more than two terms as president.”
He immediately turned to talk to someone else. I don't think that was the answer he was looking for.
We seriously talked about moving to TX.
Her hubby is a Sheriff and out of a job soon with a Chief Sheriff who hates him, elected to office.
I sent my hubby, former marine, a link to the Homeland Security Job website. We’re making plans.
Today someone asked me what was wrong...I told them I felt like killing someone. He asked me who and I told him 62 million voters.
“I thought it was good that Obama didn’t make a big deal out of race.”
My mother
“drunk on hope” = “drunk with power”
“There is also something far more terrifying. My own mother is a neonatal nurse, she works with premature babies. She voted for Obama. She voted for the man who will murder her patients!”
Wow, that’s quite amazing/alarming. I’m sorry. Let’s pray for your mom! Hmm, she may be out of a job soon anyway.
Lord watch over you my FRiend. I mean that.
I had Catholic relatives who were there. I would prefer not to find out what they went through.
