OK. You've gone out and voted, like a good citizen. Tell us about it.
How was turnout? Were there any problems at your polling place? Who do you think will win your local races?
Long lines but they moved fast.
My precinct is Maroon. LA.Polls opened at 6am. I got there at 6:15 and had to wait 45 minutes to vote. The longest line I’ve ever seen.
I’m exhausted.... been working against Wexler and Mahoney as well the past few weeks!!!

This proud Hoosier mom just voted here in southern IN...along with hubby, two of our three sons (youngest won’t turn 18 until NEXT October....to bad!) - anyway - all for McCain/Palin!!!!!
Reporting in from N Central Ohio...took my daughter and son in law to vote with me this AM when the polls opened at 6:30. We vote at an American Legion Hall, and when we got there, it looked like Friday Nite $500 Bingo! I have NEVER seen so many cars! Two lines of people, out the doors and into the parking lot. It was very orderly and smooth, but it took 45 minutes to vote. (Hubby voted absentee, as he is in AZ for business conference).
McCain signs outnumber the others around here about 20 to 1, so I think this is very good news!
Rural Mississippi. Voted all Republican as I have since 1974.
Voted. Nassau County, NY. Low turnout (waited 5 minutes) - saw other McCain voters on line.
Waited 45 minutes. Highly diverse crowd. ID checked twice. Once while in line to verify precinct A or B and then at the actual sign-in. Line was not outside the building, but snaked down the hallway inside. So no one had to listen to campaigners outside.
Denville is in Scott Garrett’s CD, right? Hope the large turnout there will help to re-elect him. We’re going to need the northwest “red” portion of the state to carry him, as here in Bergen there are Schulman signs popping up. I dispise that guy.
South side St. Joseph district (60/40 D/R). The last 7-8 times I’ve voted, I’ve been the 50th to 75th person voting (according to the machine you feed your ballot into). Today I was 245th.
I was not encouraged by the crowd there:
3-4 18-21 year olds, looking unwashed, slacker-like.
5-6 African-Americans in a 95% white district.
A lot of the 40-50-year-old multiple-cat-owning, bitter-at-being-single women with a permanent scowl on their faces.
Some union guys with a “Steelworkers for Obama” placard in their car.
There was a young couple (late 20s) who got their ballots and it looked like the wife made the husband sit at a voting table rather than go into the booth.
I was discouraged by the lack of seniors - hopefully they will get in to vote later.
A couple of dirty looks when my 6-year-old says “my dad says Obama wants to take your money.”
They handed me the ballot. I loudly said “I only need one ballot. I’m not a Democrat.” Cat-calls, boos, and hisses. (HAHA just kidding).
Voted for McCain/Palin, Kenny Hulsof for Governor, Sam Graves for Congress.
Voted early on Thursday in Martin County Florida.
10 minutes wait, very effective screening and setup.
2 in Mac/Palin’s column from my wife and I.
Son and daughter will vote same in Mass/NY today.
86 year old Dad will pull switch for Mac in Pa............
My precinct is very very red in a red state. There are usually no more than 10-20 people in line at opening of the polls, this morning at 7:15 am there was 300 people in line, no place to park (not a single empty space). I had to leave. A co-worker told me that 15 minutes later, there were at least 100 more people in the line and she was trapped by the traffic for 20 minutes. We both plan on voting later in the day.
For a blowout election, there sure are a lot of people standing in line waiting to vote...

Voted in Shady Grove precinct in Henrico Co., VA. Arrived 5:30 am and there were 40 people ahead of me. By 6:00, when the polls opened, the crowd had grown to over 200. Very orderly. Looked VERY MCCAIN-Palin. A few Obama signs and bumper stickers in the parking lot. Many more McCain signs. This is Eric Cantor’s (Rep. 7th district) neighborhood.
I’ve done calling and door-knocking since Friday in Henrico Co., suburb of Richmond. In the western part it looks about 70-30 McCain. I would say plus or minus 5 points.
Word has it on the news here that if Virginia goes blue by the Gallup margins, McCain is likely toast.
I think the coal issue will really help McCain take VA.

I voted this morning at a local school. I live in a Democratic district, and strong Democratic County, in rural Indiana.
Standing behind me was a father and his 10 year old son.
The boy asked his father: “Do you know who you are voting for?”
The father replied, “I have some things figured out but not sure on others.” (An undecided voter)
The boy said, “Mom told me who she was voting for. She told me who you were voting for, too.”
The father replied, “Well, something real important that you need to learn is that people will TELL you they are voting one way, but that’s not what they do when they get into the voting booth. When you get in the booth, it’s just you, and you must make the best decision that you can. This is not just a piece of paper, and it’s not to be taken lightly.”
I thought that was a wonderful lesson, and it indicates that perhaps even spouses are not being up front with each other about their votes this year. If they aren’t telling their spouse, they aren’t telling the pollsters.
Oh, and most importantly, I VOTED FOR JOHN & SARAH!
my husband just came back from voting here in AR only took him 40 minutes. I think everyone around here already voted early. My friend who is an obamanut finally told me today that she was voting for McCain. She told me her priest convinced her that voting for Obama would be voting for death. Thank goodness for the priest! But I do not need a priest to tell me that Obama is a nut job!!!!
