WHETHER or not Barack Obama wins election tomorrow, his campaign has exposed some gaping weaknesses in the electoral process - and some even more serious problems with today's mass media. The question is whether the political establishment will be willing to do anything about them.
On the electoral side, we've seen allegations of massive voter fraud, often backed up by actual arrests and investigations. The FBI has opened an investigation into the Obama-friendly group ACORN, which has been associated with fraudulent registrations and other misconduct in many jurisdictions.
In Indiana, CNN noted, of 5,000 registrations turned in, the first 2,000 turned out to be fraudulent. In Kansas City, officials found hundreds of bogus registrations. CNN also reported on the case of Clifton Mitchell, an ex-ACORN worker who served time in prison for voter fraud.
In Pennsylvania, ACORN worker Jemar Barksdale was arrested for voter fraud involving fake registrations. Meanwhile, the state of Ohio turned up 200,000 questionable voter registrations, but Ohio officials went to court to avoid having to respond. In Michigan, an ACORN worker has been charged with forgery. ACORN activists even tried to register Mickey Mouse to vote in Florida.
Indianapolis, meanwhile - along with some counties in Alabama and Mississippi - turned out to have more registrants than actual live voters. And in Connecticut, a group of journalism students discovered 8,500 dead people still on the rolls, people whose identities could be used to cast fraudulent ballots.

They have the name, telephone number, and city and state of the voters, plus a script you can follow, but I most often just tell them to remember to vote and vote for McCain-Palin. You can pick any state to call and I picked Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvannia, but you can pick others as well. Some people just hang up, but quite a few are willing to listen, including some undecideds. I'll do some more calling tonight.
ACORN has been in our face from the begining...How do you think we should feel?
If the ballot I cast is stopped by fraud...
Cast bullets will speak louder and be more painful to stop....

Because they succeeded on a statewide scale, I personally think that ACORN felt it could then get away with it on a nationwide scale. That's what I think we're seeing now.
We need to stop ACORN by any means possible, even if it means physically running them out of our neighborhoods.
Yep. Still, your post made me think of a time when the dead will actually arise.
The election can only be stolen at the moment by the fact that so many want 0be to take care of their mortgage and fuel payments.
I wonder if there is ANYWHERE in the USA where Mickey Mouse is registered to vote AS A REPUBLICAN?
Anyone? Beuler??
Your post perfectly summarizes why I believe that Bush has done an admirable job in some areas, that his presidency has caused an incredible amount of damage to this country. From his earliest days in the White House, his administration set the tone that ‘bipartisanship’ and ‘working together’ were of supreme importance at the expense of the rule of law. Now we are seeing the consequences. I just hope that there are enough reasonable, thinking Americans out there tomorrow to overcome the massive voter fraud that is going to take place.
Tomorrow, November 4, 2008, will go down in history as a pivotal point in American history on par with July 4, 1776, October 19, 1781, April 12, 1861, and December 7, 1941. The only question that remains is whether or not it will be a positive or negative date in US history.
This has been going on for years. The republicans could have done something about it but didn’t. LBJ won his senate seat when people in one county voted in alphabetical order.
The American experiment has died.
God had been tossed out of our institutions, our schools, and even our public square.
Moreover, in this election an estimated 7 million illegal aliens are allowed to vote (and they do not even have to present a Photo ID).
Try entering a foreign country and getting away with that.
I believe Obama is the Anti-christ. God is permitting him to take power - for awhile.
bump for later
For our country to move back into ascendancy, it must re-establish a relationship with the almighty God who blessed her and made possible her unmatched success. Looking beyond the divine and into the tactical arena, I believe two things must happen first if we are to recapture our nation:
1. We absolutely must break the iron grip that the left has on our infostructure, because their control of it is devastating, and that devastation is easy to see in this election. If we had a mediastructure with just a moderate amount of journalistic integrity, Obama would be at 15% in the polls. This country may have gone a little soft over the past few decades, decades which posed no monumental challenge to overcome that was seen by earlier generations, but our population still has plenty of common sense buried out there. And if we had media that would simply report the truth evenly, there is NO way this country would seriously consider electing someone who couldn’t even get the lowest-level government security clearance. There is NO way this country would seriously consider electing someone who probably isn’t even constitutionally eligible. There is NO way this country would seriously consider electing a Marxist. NO WAY. The country just doesn’t know, and they never will as long as liberals control the infostructure that controls the flow of information to the masses from near-cradle to grave.
2. We conservatives must grow a pair. That means fighting tooth and nail in the courts, both legal and public opinion. That means taking off the gloves and jumping into the streets where the fight is being fought. For tooooooooooo long conservatives have stayed comfortably above the fray, looking down and “tsk tsk”ing from the high road while liberals swarmed like cockroaches below and stole our country. Frankly, I think we should elect a bunch of Joe the Plumbers, a lot of Jane the Bakers, a lot of Jim the Factory Line Worker, a lot of REAL AMERICANS, and toss out these pantywaists who have let us down time and time and time again. Bush’s DOJ should have been all over the vote fraud issue a year ago, making it clear that it would not be tolerated again. Did they? No, of course not. Gosh, that just wouldn’t be polite and the media might call us “meanies” or something equally injurious.
It really is time to stand up and fight, or just watch the last threads of our once magnificent national fiber deteriorate and blow away like dust in the wind.

We have to throw the lawyers out of the capitol and break the death grip of the Bar Association on the courts...
And there was nothing to stop foreign nationals from donating directly to the Obama campaign. As Scott Johnson noted in this newspaper, "No presidential campaign has ever before received such a gargantuan sum of money from unidentified contributors."
An investigation by National Journal reporter Neil Munro found that the McCain campaign Web site didn't allow anonymous donations, while the Obama Web site did.
Although there has been some coverage here and there, the response of the national press corps to these rather shocking developments has been a collective yawn.

Yathink this would get noticed somewhere, by someone in charge of investigation crimes or at least the integrity of our elections?
Thanks for your help — I second the calling — there are still some names to be called.
Let’s Get Out the Vote for McCain-Palin.
The first order of business is to cut off the taxpayer funding for such communist dot.orgs.
Who can file a complaint with the FEC?
Can the person who did this investigative reporting?
