This could be worse than mixing metaphors. If Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama is going to ad lib in a speech about the economy by invoking black 1970s breakthrough TV, he could at least get it right.
In his Oct. 29 speech in Raleigh, N.C., Obama railed against Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain on various issues about the economy, specifically including tax cuts and the privatization of Social Security. He proposed that had Social Security been invested in the stock market it might cause a Fred Sanford-style reaction.
If Sen. McCain is elected, well have another president who wants to privatize part of your Social Security, Obama said. That aint right. Can you imagine if you had your Social Security invested in the stock market these last two weeks? These last two months? You wouldnt need Social Security. Youd be having a you know like, what was it. Sanford and Son, Im coming Weezie. It aint right.

Well, Fred Sanford did say, “Get yourself a high yeller and work your way up!”..............
ROFLMAO. Go Nittaly Lions!
To a cracker, all black sit-coms look alike....
This proves he is really an Arab and can’t possibly be black.
Oh c’mon give him a break. The Jeffersons, Sanford and Son, same thing. He was watching commie indoctrination films in the 70s, he didn’t have time for TV.
Cut him some slack...he was only 8 and his kids went to school with Lionel and the Big Dummy.
Obama was too busy studying his Koran and meeting with marxists to know anything about AMERICAN popular culture.
What a freakin idiot! Everytime he tries to be cool and funny, he blows it!
That's OK. His constituancy prolly thinks they were real anyway.
Heard Rush mention this today. As if Bambi ever watched 1970’s black sitcoms. He couldn’t bother with the little people.
I know I’m preaching to the choir, but... had McCain or Palin made this gaffe it would lead the evening news tonight. “GOP candidate displayed their utter contempt for the struggles of African Americans today...”
Hey! don’t insult Aunt Esther.
I think his speech was Dy-No-Mite! : )
everyone knows it was elizabeth.....come on barry get with it...sheesh...
and if the dems had not helped create the economic crisis we are in then we wouldn’t be losing our a**’s in the market....
