"Politically Motivated" Mutilation - Real or Hoax?
Pittsburgh law enforcement sources tell TMZ they have serious questions about the authenticity of the alleged victim who says she had her face cut by a politically-motivated attacker.
We're told there are several things about the alleged attack that don't add up. A Pittsburgh PD official says they are conducting a "thorough investigation" and have not determined if the alleged attack is real or a hoax. But we're told there is definitely a level of skepticism.
As we reported, the alleged victim claims she went to an ATM and when she turned around, a large dark-skinned man took the money she withdrew. She says when he noticed she had a McCain/Palin bumper sticker on her car, he became enraged, knocked her down and cut a "B" in her face.
We're told the woman refused medical assistance at the scene and said she would go to the hospital the next day.
The investigation continues.
I’m not as thrown by the backward B as I am by the lack of swelling.
The comments by the Obamanations are particularly ugly:
vasbestbbw: @atodd how much is mccain/republican party paying you for this lie? you sold your soul to the devil. #litf08 <~*Cheryl*~>eitan: @atodd even MICHELLE MALKIN thinks you're a fucking liar and a racist fraud. nice job. #litf08
It could be backward, or it could be upsidedown.
....ewwwww.....don’t post any more of that, please.
Not making a judgement ,yet, but it is not lookin good for her story. The B is too clean for a night attack and squirming screaming victim (assumption mine). I was a detective for PSP, in W. Penn. I investigated alleged crimes
that turned out to be cries for attention. Alleged rapes were common. If this is a hoax, look for the Bolsheviks to use this to “victimize” obama, it could really backfire for our side.

I think the “B” is supposed to stand for “Bi***”.
absolutely...what next ? this poll thing is beyond stupid
C’mon folks; all they have to do is get the security film from the bank ATM and it will prove whether or not she was attacked at the ATM machine.
It’s easy to verify her wounds such as the bruising. If it’s makeup then . . .
I’ll take her at her word until I have reason not to. If someone can demonstrate her bruises fake etc. then I’ll think otherwise. Conspiracy is not my first thought with the look of her wounds.
And while I think many people might be frozen with fear, we have a happy of protecting our faces when a knife comes around. That "B" is quite well defined.
I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt, because people do strange things, but I think this could get bad for our side.
When did it happen and how long does it take to go from the ‘beating trauma’ to black and blue?
Somewhat similar area is the South Side in Pittsburgh where a black criminal has been robbing women at ATMs with a gun in broad daylight. They've shown security tapes on the news.
Another thing that makes this believable is the high level of black on White violence in the Pittsburgh area.
She does not have the republican girl look, just sayin.
She said the crime appeared out of the range of the camera of the ATM, of course it did, criminals don't rob people in view of the ATM camera anymore. Plus this happened at her car, which was most likely parked away from the ATM. How do I know it happened at her car? Because he wouldn't have known which car was hers unless he saw her starting to enter it when he robbed her, else how would he know she had a McCain sticker on her car?
However, if she was just at the ATM there should be a photo of her(and a time on the photo)getting the 60 bucks he took from her and she would not have had the black eye and the B.
Just one more thought here. Lots of people have said this wound couldn't have been done with a knife, I beg to differ. If you have a single bladed knife and you use the point with the dull edge of the blade down, you can make scratches that appear exactly like the B she has on her face.
I don't know if it is a hoax or not, but accusing her of it being a hoax without evidence is kind of premature.I am adopting a wait and see attitude. The so called evidence that many FReepers have come up with isn't evidence, it is speculation.
I’m sure the bruise is real, or she’d have been charged with filing a false police report already. And there’s also obviously really a “B” scratched very lightly into her cheek. None of this in any way confirms her story of how those marks got on her face.
For somebody who was supposedly robbed at an ATM and then had something forcibly “cut” into her cheek by the robber, she sure was quick to go post on her blog about the big story she was going to be blogging about after her “rough night” (this shortly after her posts about hunting for an ATM where she wouldn’t have to pay a fee, and about thinking she’d ended up on the wrong side of Pittsburgh). She did this to get attention from her fellow College Republican activists, and that’s why she was much more eager to run and give them a teaser on her blog than she was to get medical attention to properly document her injuries, which would be most helpful if the alleged perp was ever caught and brought to trial.
I am one who honestly is not a fan of Michelle, and does want McCain to win, but this looks fake to me too.
Lot of skepticism on Free Republic. Someone posted that her eyes aren’t even swollen. I would think, too, that there should be tissue swelling around the eyes and/or some Petechia to the eyeballs themselves.
I left Alliquppa out because I still respect Mike Ditka, hehehe.
Its like that poor town upriver Donora. What’s it to be known for....the killer smog of the 40’s or the birthplace and boyhood home of Stan “The Man” Musial?
Sewickley? They should have put the finial spikes from the old bridge on top of the new one instead of putting them in the park, hehehe.
