A woman celebrating her 105th birthday says that celibacy and staying single has been the key to her long life.
Clara Meadmore, a retired secretary, who still has her own hair, teeth, and sharp wit, never had time for a family and lived alone until going into care.
She said: "I've always had lots of platonic friendships with men but never felt the need to go further than that or marry."
"When I was a girl you only had sex with your husband and I never married. I grew up in an era where little girls were to be seen and not heard so I had to learn to stand up for myself and earn my own living.
"Some men don't like that in a woman and before long I was too old to marry anyway."

No sex for that long would make it seem like she has been around for 300 years.

Actually, a blockbuster movie IS coming out Nov. 21 about a 107 year old virgin...but he just happens to be a vampire that sparkles in the sun!

I bet she’s only 62 and it just FEEEELS like 105 with no sex.

All I can say is, I’d hate to be sitting next to her when she gets the thought of “Aw heck, how much older do I really want to be? Let’s get it ON!!”
A 40ish guy goes to the doctor for a physical. After all the tests have been run, the guy and his doctor discuss the results.
The doctor says, “Dave, you’ve got to stop smoking and drinking and chasing women.”
Dave says, “Gee, doc, will that make me live longer?”
Doctor says, “ Hell no, but it will sure seem like it.”
