Listening to Rush? When is it our turn to say enough (Rush used riot)?

Anyone listening to Rush? As you just heard, he's asking the salient question; when is it our turn to riot (playing off Carville's comments the other night).

Exactly why I’ve been preaching if Obama wins we’re headed for civil war. I know, I know, flame away.

I think the same way. It seems both sides are so dug in, and I blame the blind Obamamaniacs, the gimmee crowd, and their communist handlers for this. This in turn, we have to dig in as well and although I don't want to, but we might have to fight if things turn rotten. One thing my parents taught me is that there will be times you have to fight, otherwise you will be pushed and pushed and on this one, I pray to God we are not pushed into the corner and what that happens, well, a fight will start. I was bullied as a kid, typical geek, I know what it is like to be pushed into a corner and told to fight. I'm not some "yeah, I'll go get my shootin' arn and teach them a lesson," far from it, in fact I'm scared this could happen. If I had to fight or serve in some other capacity, I will, like many here, I feel we could lose our nation and way of life. I just pray to God that He gives me the courage, morals and wisdom to get through this. I'm sure there will be many Obamamaniacs and their allies/handlers that will want to do us and others who do not agree harm if they could do it. Seeing Obama, I feel like I'm a Jew, Gypsy or homosexual in 1933 Germany. In fact, I'm part Russian Jew, they did their fair share of suffering under the pogroms. I've heard people tell me that they might run off to Israel but actually, where is a good place to run to? I can't think of any.

What really scares me is I had a dream of this ilk one time. We were in a civil war sometimes in the future, all I remember it was my father and I. He'll be 71, but in my dream, he was fighting alongside me. I remember he had a double barrelled shotgun and I had an M1 Garand which we were trading shots with some unknown but enemy force, the dream did not reveal that. The only line I said was, "Dad, if we make it to my Ford Explorer, we will be OK." It was painted in camo and I remember we were huffing and puffing as we jump in and drove off.

If you want an interesting site, there is www.johntitor.com where a supposed time traveller comes from 2036 to the year 1975 and 2000 and warns of a near future civil war. I'm dubious on the time traveller stuff, I mean it is very possible in my mind but I do require proof. I see the site and story more like as a warning from a person or group that is conservative/libertarian/religious based, the story and time traveller seems like he/they have pieces of all three ideologies. Well, a very short story was that the civil war started in 2005 between the urban people (most likely where most Obama people come from) vs. the suburb/rural conservatives. It goes on and on and the Russians and Red Chinese "aid" the rebelling conservative types by launching an atomic attack on the cities although they themselves felt threatened by the rebel's enemies too. I've been following this for several years and I thought the re-election of President Bush would change this and even Titor himself says that things can change and various differing timelines are created. Now with Obama lurking out there, if he wins, I often wonder if Titor's "predictions" were just pushed back a few years with similar results. Again, I'm knocking on middle age if not there already, I don't want to spend my future like this.

I pull no punches and I call them the way I see them. If we are to be saved from Obama, hopefully the "Archie Bunker" types will come out in droves. My father is not too much for McCain although he is a "George Wallace" type, I know many of them. I don't like the Archie Bunker viewpoint of race being a factor against Obama but I would take any aid and any allies with "boots on the ground" and any motivation if it would mean that we would save this nation from a terrible fate.

The left has been winning this war for sometime, even though we've had the presidency a good part of the last 30 years. We (conservatives) for some reason have a love affair with being liked once we get into elected office. Simple premises we run on disappear and are replaced with more high-minded principles like “fairness” and “equity”. As if the federal government can ever enforce “fairness” for after all, who's definition should be used?

They've (leftist liberals) have largely won this war and are just using this economic crisis to put the finishing touches on their plans...a socialist utopia. This has always been their aim all the way back the Roosevelt's “Brain Trust” and their love affair with Stalin and communism (read “Forgotten Man” and “The Forsaken”).

All that's left now is the conservative response and I fear that it will not be strong but weak. There is no identifiable “conservative movement” that meets anywhere nor develops strategy, there's just a fractured bunch of think tanks and individuals trying to promote a ideology that can never compete with the rhetoric of the left. After all, most of America has now had 60+ year of indoctrination from our public education system and have not been trained to be critical thinkers...but they do know how to put on a condom!

Dr. Walter Williams (Rush's occasional fill-in in) proposed what I believe to be the best solution in his paper “Time to Part Company” (copy and paste the article in google if you want to read it). In this article, he suggests an amicable divorce of the two ideologies (conservative/liberal) as the gap between the two are too big to ever bridge. This divorce will be expressed in the dividing of the country into economic and ideological segments and in the end you arrive at a Liberal USA and a Conservative USA governed completely separately. For me personally, it's hard to see how exactly this is done, but it's sure a lot better than just giving up the farm to the socialist left. I'd rather work this idea out than give up my business and tell the 15 people working for me that I hope they make it.

I dunno and as I said at the beginning, I share in your discouragement. McCain has been the McCain we all knew he would be...I'm not surprised at all.

Time will tell whether conservatives will ever organize and promote a cohesive strategy.
