"What kind of son or daughter allows their sick and dying mother to have to deal with the insurance company crap? I think a lot of us can attest to stepping in and dealing with the insurance company when our parents, grandparents or relative were too sick to do it."

For a guy with the entire ACORN organization behind him, skilled at shaking down banks, forcing them to give loans to unqualified monories, you'd think the man who trained all these ACORN community THUGS would have no problem shaking down an insurance company.

Like everything else, how do you know when Obama is lying?
A: When his lips are moving. If his poor mother was on food stamps, she certainly wasn't paying for health insurance, therefore no "insurance company" existed in Obama's story.

The only question that really needs to be answered, is why Obama didn't help out his mother when she was laying there dying in a hospital bed- ALONE! ? The answer to that is in Obama's so called books. He hated her white skin. This was at a time when he was very busy training the top "community organizers" for Acorn, Launching his political career in Ayers house and building up his Obama radical Marxist youth army, following the early career moves of his murderous hero Che'.

He clearly is not a gentleman. We already knew he has no honour.

Yes, he brought it up many times before the debate. He did ads about his mother’s death from cancer and health insurance problem in Pennsylvania during the primaries. I saw them several times.

At his next VA rally, you’ll be able to spot me holding this sign:

Why didn’t you take care of your WHITE mother as she lay dying, Obama?

5. If she was in fact having issues w insurance while she was dying, why didn't he, a Harvard Law graduate try to assist her, instead of letting her deal w it - - most sons/daughters would have stepped in to help.

Wasn't this about the time when he turned his back on a high paying job as a newly minted attorney to walk the mean streets of ChiTown as a community organizer. He could have gone to work on Wall Street and easily made a half million bucks per year and helped out his mom. Instead, he decides to throw away that education and be a street walker.

Talk about cold-hearted and incapable of level-headed judgement!

On the bright side, he doesn't flip-flop when it comes to compassion for the least among us. He failed to help his mother then and blames his own failing on the government. Today he is failing to help his half-brother in Kenya who lives on less than $20 PER YEAR!

"She was supposedly on food stamps while a graduate student in Hawaii. I find that hard to believe given the fact that her mother and father could have easily provided her with food."

I don't have a hard time believing it. She was a liberal, so she could have easily been trying to scam the system. Look, I read that her mother (his grandmother) was vice president of a bank in Hawaii. That being the case, I don't think they were fighting for table scraps. He was living, in Hawaii, Indonesia etc.. it's hard to believe this story he wants us to believe that he grew up poor. It didn't happen. It costs a lot of money to live in Hawaii. I'm sorry his mom died of cancer at such a young age, but I doubt she died because of poor treatment or poor insurance. It's a crock.

No telling what comes out of his mouth is true or false, he lies so much you dont know what to believe.

I thought the same thing, he and his wife are wealthy lawyers from pretty big companies with big connections....you can’t help your mom?

He clearly is not a gentleman.

I think it is worse than a question of being a gentleman. Is he a human being? Would any of us allow a parent to lie alone in a hospital bed fighting insurance companies?

Here is my theory for what is it worth. I have watched his speeches and from what I have observed he takes stories from other people and then weaves them into his story of his life. It is a ploy to cater to peoples emotions. I have also noticed he takes phrases from other people then uses them in his campaign stump speeches. Remember the phrase about airstrikes and civilian deaths. Found it interesting there is a study on the very same thing on the Soros Human Rights Watch site by Mary & Michael Gellert titled Airstrikes and Civilian Deaths in Afghanistan. Could be coincidence and I could be wrong just my observations.

One other thing, my wife says I’m being a little heartless but this whole bit about Joe Biden choking up everytime he talks about his first wife’s death and raising his kids up alone is a little too much.

Am I being too cynical on this? My wife thinks I am. I just find the tears and choking up on cue during the debate and out on the stump a little too much for me.

Good post. What gets me is that anyone could think that having the government run everything could possibly make things better, as if once the government administers the system all these bureaucratic headaches will magically go away. Have these people ever been to the DMV? In a way, though, they may be right: if the government comes back and says you can't get a Dr. appointment for a month, or an MRI for six months, or you are not eligible for that life-saving surgery AT ALL, there will be no further "dealing with insurance." You'll just have to accept the decision, and drop dead.

If she was in Portugal, where they have free medical care for all, she would most likely die in the hallway lying on a meat wagon waiting for a room. At least that is the way some have passed away thanks to their free medical care.

You really have to wonder if he dislikes white people. I remember him referring to his grandmother as a “typical white person” in a very dismissive tone, once.

Don’t you know the disdain THE ONE feels toward typical withe people?

He threw his grandmother under the bus, why not his mother?

My 24 year old chose to listen to the debate rather than watch. As soon as Obama finished that statement, he said “that was Obama’s Dukakis moment.”

Obama spoke of his mother’s dying with the same detachment and lack of emotion that Dukakis displayed in discussing the hypothetical rape of his wife. He, in essence, put his mother in the same category as the unnamed “waitress in Iowa” that politicians always find simply to make his political point. It just doesn’t ring true.

Obama is angry man. His father left him and his mother rejected him. He had an identity crisis because he is biracial and was raised in a white household. As a result, he embraced the politics of black radicalism. He hates whites and America. And he wants to settle a score with them. If Obama is elected, racial/ethnic division is this country will grow as he uses it to cement his political power. Obama is a very dangerous person.

Remember that Biden destroyed the reputation of a good family by claiming in stump speeches that the man his wife hit in the accident was drunk AND the cause of the accident, even though it was clear she was at fault and the poor man was sober.

He was busy plotting the overthrow of the white world with Bill Ayers. What a Ba$tard!
