One other thing, my wife says I’m being a little heartless but this whole bit about Joe Biden choking up everytime he talks about his first wife’s death and raising his kids up alone is a little too much.
Am I being too cynical on this? My wife thinks I am. I just find the tears and choking up on cue during the debate and out on the stump a little too much for me.
Remember that Biden destroyed the reputation of a good family by claiming in stump speeches that the man his wife hit in the accident was drunk AND the cause of the accident, even though it was clear she was at fault and the poor man was sober.

I’m a sentimental and like to think of myself as a caring and compassionate person. I mist up over various things, including at times Extreme Homemakeover and some of the posts on FR. That said, call me cynical too when it came to Joe on the debate - - it really seemed like a put on to me to get sympathy (that’s what I thought to myself at the time). I just didn’t buy it.
I read both Biden’s and Hussein’s attempt to garner the sympathy vote as shamelessly pathetic...where Hussein uses his deceased mother, and Biden uses his deceased wife and child toward that end.
During the debate with Sarah, it was obvious Biden lay in wait for the opportunity to use his wife and child. When he did, it was inappropriate since his response was not related to what Sarah had said. IIRC, Sarah had been speaking about families sitting around the dining table discussing finances and the future. Biden simply calculated this was probably the best opportunity he would have and went for it.
