BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Former President Jimmy Carter said on Friday the "atrocious economic policies" of the Bush administration had caused the worst global financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

Carter told reporters on a stopover in Brussels that "profligate spending," massive borrowing and dramatic tax cuts since President George W. Bush took office in 2001 were behind the market turmoil and economic crisis.

“LOL - He sure has some nerve.”

Maybe not so much nerve; he launched his salvo from Brussels. Last time that I checked I think Brussels is in that country “Europe”.

I very recently was privey to a discussion ~ I think it was here on FR ~ where someone discussed some affliction of brain damage that occurred within the demographic of peanut farmers (this was serious) and there was some soft data to back the assertion up.

I don’t give Carter credit for brain damage. I think he has Bush Derangement Syndrom.

Carter. Another liberal pansy that clueless voters launched into the Governor’s Mansion in Georgia and then into the White House.

DHIMMI Carter, please.

Of the double-digit inflation and 21% interest rates. Mortgage interest was around 14%.

Cheers!

BUSH'S Fault! Only one thing, Peanut Man! Bush tried MANY TIMES to try to reform Fannie and Freddie.

And what did the country look like under YOUR Administration? Oh yea:

SO Carter! Sit down and shut up!

Jimmy Carter......the worst president in history.

Thanks for under-mining an American ally in Iran in 1979, Jimmy.

You, Jimbo, ushered in the modern age of terrorism.

Carter’s mouth and anus are inter-changeable parts.

It must suck to go through life being constantly wrong about everything.

Carter never fails to remind people just how wrong he is on so many issues.

If tax cuts created this mess, then why isn’t Carter out there lambasting Obama who wants to give evil TAX CUTS to 95%(sic) of us? And what about Obama’s massive spending plans?

I guess liberal spending is good but Rino spending isn’t.

Besides, have you guys ever seen leftists get so passionate about tax cuts before? They are actually out there passionately claiming Barack will cut our taxes more than Bush, with exception of anyone over 250K.

When The “Socialist” One becomes president, I can’t wait to hear is reason(s) why he can no longer give those 95%(sic) that tax cut he promised.

Well, Jimmy, I was only a kid at the time, but I seem to remember these really long lines at the gas stations when you were president. Don’t see that now.

“Whatever happened to ex-Presidents showing some class by keeping their damned mouths shut?”

That type of class got kicked into the gutter by Carter and the Clintons.
