Ex-president Carter slams Bush on market crisis (Projectile Alert)

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Former President Jimmy Carter said on Friday the "atrocious economic policies" of the Bush administration had caused the worst global financial crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

Carter told reporters on a stopover in Brussels that "profligate spending," massive borrowing and dramatic tax cuts since President George W. Bush took office in 2001 were behind the market turmoil and economic crisis.

Unfortunately, most of these young Obama supporters aren’t old enough to remember the economic policies of this buffoon. Also, notice how the Democrats never mention any specific policies? Just once I’d like to see the MSM ask “Oh yeah? Which policies specifically?”

Carter has a point, spending on expensive entitlements like medicare prescription drugs, expansions of medicaid and new educational entitlements under “no child left behind” have done nothing for the budget or the overall economy.

And that stuff was all signed by President Bush.
