Secret, Foreign Money Floods Into Obama Campaign
http://www.newsmax.com ^ | Monday, September 29, 2008 | Ken Timmerman

More than half of the whopping $426.9 million Barack Obama has raised has come from small donors whose names the Obama campaign won't disclose.

And questions have arisen about millions more in foreign donations the Obama campaign has received that apparently have not been vetted as legitimate.

Obama has raised nearly twice that of John McCain's campaign, according to new campaign finance report.

But because of Obamas high expenses during the hotly contested Democratic primary season and an early decision to forgo public campaign money and the spending limits it imposes, all that cash has not translated into a financial advantage at least, not yet.

Don't they, by election law, have to disclose those donor's names?

Who knows? The rules don’t apply to Obama. And the Federal Election Commission is still broken, since Harry Reid has refused to bring the nominees up for a vote, so they have lacked a quorum for this past year.

The Left Wing Media won’t ask Obama to release ANY information, including his birth certificate, his academic records, his law clients, his connections with the Chicago Mafia, Black Muslims, and Communist terrorists—or anything else.

So why should he release the names of contributors or return money donated by Palestinian terrorists and the like?

This puzzled me from the getgo. I am a suspicious and cynical type and certainly not a political wonk, so I dismissed it until now.

Hussein displayed a totally relaxed attitude about the financing of his campaign, so I will let my cynical nature re-emerge and speculate.
Did he already know something the rest of us didn't?

Saudi Arabia?
Iran?
Syria?
Pakistan?
Lybia?
Kosovo?
That "Irish Citizen" Arab millionaire who squashed the published book, Alms for Jihad?

I find it impossible to believe that foreign countries could fund a candidate for president with impunity.

Isn't there a law against that?
If not, why not?

More than half of the whopping $426.9 million Barack Obama has raised has come from small donors whose names the Obama campaign won't disclose.

Hello?

$213.5 million from "small donors?".

I may have been born at night, but not last night...

Any one wondering why B.O. was campaigning abroad need wonder no longer. He was trolling for foreign contributions! If he wins on foreign money the sovereignity of this nation will be gone.

Headline:

Obama buys own satellite TV channel; loops 2-minute ad...

Good idea, think I’ll call Rush and see if he’ll get his own satellite TV channel.
He has plenty of supporters.

Wouldn't an immediate suit in federal court get their attention?
As I understand it, NO ONE is immune to prosecution.

How many attempts have there been to "impeach" Bush?

From what I understand, if you donate under $200 then your name doesn’t have to be disclosed. The charge is that they are creating a bunch of bogus names and breaking up foreign donations so that they fall under the $200. McCain has chosen to disclose all names even if he doesn’t have to.

This entire thing stinks to high heaven. MSM, foreign money, ACORN, etc.

If we don’t quit complaining about McCain, and go beat Obama at the polls, he might well be the last president America ever has. Idol worship will take on new dimensions, and it won’t matter that he has given us Carteresque chaos. The fools will adore him. Don’t expect the usual checks and balances to apply to this godlike savior. He is beyond rules, the great equalizer of all injustices past. Either vote him out now, or bow down.

Looks like BHO’s foreign admirers are buying this election for him. Of course, if he wins, there will be no investigation.

$213500000.oo divided by $200 is ummmm... 1,067,500 "contributors", if all of them contributed the maximum. Otherwise, at $25 as the average "ordinary voter" contribution, it would be a list 4,270,000 names long.

I think if Hussein were forced to divulge all those names, it would keep his staff busy for a month...

... making up all those Venezuelan names.

The guy must have big money to spend.
He’s carpet bombing tv and radio here in Indiana, even every 30 minutes during Rush Limbaugh.

We never get prez advertising in Indiana
