Update on effort to suppress "Burning Down the House" Video
"Burning Down the House: What Caused our Financial Crisis" is a video the Obama campaign does not want you to see.
The first YouTube posting of this video received over one million hits in less than five days.
It was removed by YouTube after a copyright complaint by Warner Music.
The second posting of this video has also now been removed from YouTube after receiving 100,000+ plays in one day!
Aother version of the video, created by the same YouTube account holder, pointed out that the Obama campaign received nearly three quarters of a million dollars from Warner Music, and that the Fair Use provision of copyright law allows for the use of copyright material for political and public discussion.
All the music on this video is freely available and played daily on YouTube.
Now the second posting, and the third posting with the description of the fair use issue, have been removed by YouTube in response to a copyright claim by Universal Music Publishing.
This is clearly harrassment -- the type of goon squad tactics we are only now coming to understand from the Obama campaign.
This video has been mentioned by Glenn Beck, Mark Levine, Dick Morris, and was posted for a day on The Drudge Report.
Congressman Scott Garret, appearing on the Glenn Beck program, said the video "exactly described the origins of our crisis" according to comments posted at the video.
Unfortunately for the Obama campaign, the video also exposes how Barack Obama personally profitted from corruption at Fannie Mae.
Moreover, the video exposes the fact that Barack Obama sued lenders (Citibank) for not making more "sub-prime" loans!
I look forward to the return of TheMouthPeace, the account holder at YouTube who is becoming a folk hero.
"Burning Down the House: What Caused our Financial Crisis" should be seen in every home in America.
Watch for it. And watch your back.
Could he just remove the music track and repost, to avoid any further copyright claims (whether justified or not)?
Wouldn’t be that hard to remove the music.
Is this the Herbert M. Moses behind Barney Frank's mounting Fannie scandal that is about to erupt?
Herbert M. Moses
If it gets put back up, copy it to harddrive and then send it to your email list.
Please post the link from mouthpeice in this thread again.
You can’t post it enough.
Just remove the music track. Very easy to do, and then any future removals would be DEFINITE abuse of power without question by Youtube.
Also,
Keepvid.com.
ALWAYS save a copy of a video to your hard drive if it may get removed. This is SO easy to do. Just paste the link on this site, and the site will save it to your hard drive.
We may need a conservative “You-Tube”.
I suggest a re-post with a nice (and appropriate) classical music background (all public domain). Something like Franz Liszt's "Mephisto Waltz."
Any platform would still have to respond to DMCA complaints.
Youtube was deleting Michelle Malkin’s blogs and moving some of them to “adult only” content.
They are political hacks.
agree, the political harassment has been publicized
now, time to take advantage, pull the music and TELL THE VIEWERS WHY THERE IS NO SOUND
I saw that video last night. You wouldn't believe the comments from Obama people. They were going berzerk threatening to call the ACLU, etc. etc.
Here's a couple of choice ones:

john mccain will not win your vote will be made in vain so, shut the f*ck up! (edit mine) you have NO freedom of speech because I say so
These people are Ailinsky thugs -- pure and simple.
It’s time to take it viral. Compress it, put a short note explaining Google’s, Warners and Universal’s attempt to suppress the truth, and start emailing it around.
Amen to that!

For now!
ROTFLMPO! Sad fact is, the stupid writer doesn’t know better.
I still have it on my computer, it is excellent. There HAS to be another place to see this.
