Exactly what my husband and I just commented to one another. Perhaps they removed the ACORN funding and he was protesting??? I'm at a loss to explain that one. I called and emailed Rodney Alexander early this morning, and I see he voted no.
Also had two lengthy calls with Senator Vitter's office this morning, and he is totally opposed to the legislation. He will not be offering support.

My parents remain there...but none of my siblings do. It's horrible, as my family has been in NY for centuries, but I just couldn't stay. And now, if I were to go home with my possessions, I'd be labeled instantly as a dangerous criminal.
I never trusted Trancredo for some reason.
Granger and Sessions, TX are a disappointment.

A neighbor (democrat) told me that someone was on NBC (Russet’s replacement) claiming that the people who voted against the bailout were predominately up for re-election in tight races. He made it sound like they were responding to pressure from people who really didn’t understand how it would affect them to rather than standing up on principle and doing the right thing.
None of the Tennesseans surprise me. Lincoln Davis (D), is actually more conservative than some Republicans.
What happened to Lundgren in CA? It shows no vote either way! Did it get clipped off???

Yes, quite a few on the left being against it made bells and whistles go off for me. I kept wondering if I should be against this thing if they’re against it. I’ve been listening to Rush explaining it, but those political bedfellows were just too strange.
The vote amounts to a bipartisan rejection of the bailout bill, but failure to pass the bill lies completely with the majority party. I’d love to know why so many members of the congressional black caucus - enough to reverse the fortunes of the bill - voted against the bill.
And, even if I do vote against it, the media will cover my back:

Representative Roy Blunt of Missouri, the Republican whip, said that before the vote he had tallied 75 votes in his conference in favor of the plan. By the time the votes were cast, the Republicans could deliver only 65 of them.
Republicans said they had alerted Democrats they might not have the numbers required. But they never recommended the legislation be put off and in the end they were unable to win any last-second converts to change the votes that would have been necessary to turn defeat into victory.

I'd heard that Giffords, Pelosi's Mini-Me was receiving 100% against from her constituents, but I can't believe she went no. Grijalva is a LaRaza Commie, too.

It must be being worried about re-election. I am represented, I mean.... Mr. Grijalva is the representative for my district and Mr. Pastor used to be. When I saw they had voted no, it makes me think this a giant con job. It just does not add up them voting no.
So who is running against him and what do you know about him?
