The vote amounts to a bipartisan rejection of the bailout bill, but failure to pass the bill lies completely with the majority party. I’d love to know why so many members of the congressional black caucus - enough to reverse the fortunes of the bill - voted against the bill.
I heard someone analyze this point on FOX this morning. The thought is: Those Dems. who voted against it (specifically those you mentioned) didn't feel it had enough in it for their interests. You know what that means. They wanted more $$$ for their cronies and to give entities like ACORN! HA...that'll never happen. The free ride is over folks, and the next bill won't give ACORN or any of them any chance to lining their coffers at the taxpayer's expense.
