Background:
Saturday, September 27, 2008 Speaker Pelosi Blasts "Unpatriotic" Republicans For Skipping Meeting... A Meeting Dems Did Not Invite Them To!!
Despicable Nancy Pelosi calls GOP Unpatriotic for missing a meeting-- A meeting they were not invited to.
Here's some behind the scenes politicking by Democrats at the Congressional bailout talks today, via the House GOP:
I Just wanted to shoot this story regarding the ongoing negotiations your way before you hear the media spin the Dems are feeding them. Republicans were told todays negotiations were for principles. Meaning each partys lead negotiators Senators Chris Dodd and Judd Gregg and Reps. Blunt and Frank. When we showed up to the meeting the list of Dems walking in the door kept growing to include all the above along with Democrats:
Rahm Emanuel (arguable the most political member of the House) Charles Rangel (currently under an ethics investigation) Senator Max Baucus Senator Chuck Schumer (again, one of the most polarizing Members of Congress) Senator Kent Conrad Senator Jack Reed
Thats hardly the deal we were promised, like Mr. Blunt quipped to reporters, I think the ratio's about fair. It's two to eight or something."
And, the Dem spin machine is still in full swing. They said we boycotted earlier meetings, well, as Chris Dodd said last night on NBC, they just forgot to call us. So, maybe an 8-2 fight is the best weve had all week because we are at least at the table.
Later today... Speaker Pelosi had the gall to go before cameras and call the Republican members of the House "unpatriotic" for not attending that earlier meeting.
(The meeting Dodd admitted they weren't invited to.)
And, here is more from Pelosi claiming she was never warned about the financial crisis. She's lying, of course.

Its the right vote tally...the House didnt update the titles is all (they reuse numbers every year)
“I saw that too. Nearly fell outta my chair.
My rep voted no. Ill have to make a thank you call.”
I would think that the Dem’s voted no because the pork was taken away. (Acorn and etc.) I don’t think I would make that call just yet.
Oklahoma Ping!
If you want on
or off this list
Freepmail me.
The elf made a one minute speech against it this weekend.
My Rep is a Republican.
For anybody who’s interested John and Ken at kfi640.com are interviewing Rep Darryl Issa. I haven’t gotten to hear the whole thing. Hope they replay it sometime today.
Anyway Issa says he was one who helped lead the revolt against the bill. They had the head of the FDIC come in and explain how this could be taken care of without this bailout. Apparently the powers that be don’t want to hear that. (mho).
Issa said that by the time the bill got to them it was loaded with not just bad mortgage paper, but bad car loans, bad credit card loans....every bad loan they could come up with.
I called Cong Fallin to thank her and told her office I am moving my house out of the 4th District of Cole.
Tom Cole, head of NRCC, was getting calls 35-1 against the bailout and he votes for it — WHY? At least this should ensure he does not remain NRCC Chair in the next session.
Who are independents in the house of representatives?
How did they vote?
We have two sources on this thread, the house clerk (the the original post link) and the associated press (see post #99). Their tallies agree. There were no votes cast by independents.
Thank you.
I cant get into the clerks site that lists members by Party.
clerk.house.gov/art_history/house_history/partyDiv.html
I did see note that there are no votes by them.
” Did anyone else just see Nancy and Barneys press conference? Granted it might be because of her bug eyes, but she looked rattled and scared. Franks anger made his lisp sound even more ridiculous. Call me crazy, but Im starting to think if those two keep acting like this and McCain starts calling a spade a spade, he just might still pull it off. “
Couple that with Barry sitting on the sidelines like he’s not part of the solution you may have a point here.
The clerk’s site has been difficult to upload all day...
You dare to challenge my botox brow and bracelets!!!!
Has Pelosi threatened to move to France if McCain is elected President yet?
Thanks for the post showing all the reps from each state and how they voted. Having studied the list, I must say this is the strangest vote I think I have ever seen coming out of the Congress. I cannot believe the number of conservatives (?) who voted Y, and the number of looney libs in safe districts who voted N. I’m glad they voted NO on this craziness, but darned if I can make sense of the strange bedfellows. Only in DC, I suppose.
Isn't it bizarre? This can only mean that Dems have worries about how they're going to 'splain this back home.
Compared to what the Dems had on the table last week, this was a big improvement. Unlike some, I'm not going after the head of any Republican who voted "aye." Eric Cantor had the nearly impossible burden of crafting something decent out of the mess the Dems handed him, and he did a good job.
But I'm glad to see it didn't pass. Nancy Pelosi and her gang of crooks didn't deserve the win.
Pelosi left out the fact that She doesnt need a single Republican to pass the Bill...
She is a lying Cadaver.
A filthy Corpse of a Gorgon.
She is Commie Frisco Scum.

Nancy wants to be one of the boys, and all...
Didn’t that weasel Sullivan first vote for the bill and then change his vote when he realized it wasn’t going to pass?
