A St. Louis television station reports their words "The Barack Obama campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading TV ad during the presidential campaign."
Prosecutors and sheriffs from across Missouri are joining "The Barack Obama Truth Squad."
They mention Jennifer Joyce, St. Louis Circuit Attorney and Bob McCullough, prosecutor for St. Louis County in Missouri.
The reporter says, "They will be reminding voters that Barack Obama is a Christian who wants to cut taxes for anyone making less than $250,000 a year."
While the report never quite comes out and says that anyone running an ad saying those things would be subject to prosecution, that certainly is the message implied.
Not all things that are wrong are illegal. Saying that Barack Obama is a Muslim is wrong, but it does not warrant prosecution by the state.
I would cite Jonah Goldberg's Liberal Fascism, but an angry mob just took my copy to their book-burning...

Blatant intimidation. This alone is a valid reason to not vote for him as well as attack any hack Law dog who goes along with this thuggery.
I say we give it a try. Anybody have any contact details?
Sorry...I'm overseas and can't get to certain sites during the day. But I'll be happy to toss my two cents in on this to those who are trying to shut us down.
Just recently, it has gone from taking about ten days for mail from here to get back to the U.S. to taking around a MONTH.
I for one want to know why, what is behind that and why it's not being corrected.
Smells like disenfranchisement.
Anyone?
That could be a two-edged sword indeed, especially during election campaigns.
So if Barrak or hair-plug Joe makes an untrue statement, they are subject to arrest as well?
Anything less is a violation of 'equal protection under the law'.
I can’t understand how anything like this can be legal? The state legislating a political campaign? Help me out here.
I predict a win for Mac in MO. I don’t live there, but if I did and the dam* state tried to tell me what I could say or think about a political candidate they could take their candidate and shove him!
Second, violation of free speech...free to question, free to challenge.
Third, Barack Hussein Obama has yet to prove his eligibility to be President on the very basic level of birth right. We already know he doesn't have the experience to lead the Nation.
Zieg HEIL! Her Fuhrer Obama......
Plus his father was a Muslim, his step father was a Muslim, his brothers are Muslims...
Libs starting to show their true stripes. They must really be nervous. Whatever we’re doing we need to do it some more because it looks like it’s starting to work.
I am quite sure that many prosecutors and sherrif’s in the heart of Missouri disagree with this. We need to get them to speak out against this misuse of power in St. Louis and KCMO.
You’re dead right.
Free speech, and protected speech.
Dear Mr. President: I disagree with you on health care. Sincerely . . .
Agents Arrest E-mailer and Family
Obama spokesman: "The email was threatening, hate can spread to other family members."
McCain could make serious hay with this one. “Obama’s campaign has enlisted the help of State officials to jail Americans who speak out against Obama. They have stated that they will arrest anyone ‘lying’ about Obama and they decide what is a lie. Free speech is no more if they say so.”
There literally hundreds of ads that could be made...to flush Obama out of the shadows, and into the Sheeple's view.
How about...."Barack Obama never published or wrote any thing while President of the "Harvard Law Review" Etc..etc...etc....
Why are these prosecutors punished?
Should have said not punished.
Thanks for the information. I'm not military either, but I work directly with them.
We find it strange that mail going back to the US has gone from taking ten days to taking a month when there is a general election coming up. And there happens to be an overwhelming majority of McCain supporters here.
We're looking into it, though.
Take care in K!
Actually, I'm not in "K," I'm in "I" to the north. You know, the relatively quiet, peaceful place that the news hardly ever mentions anymore. ;-)
Will they prosecute themselves for this statement?
Remember, desperation makes any animal much more dangerous.
Keep safe in MO>
