bailout.jpg

I urge every reader here to take ten minutes out of your day sometime soon and watch this video. Then, if you believe as I do, that it is the most powerful, most truthful exposé available as to the criminal government/Wall Street elements that are behind our current economic meltdown, please send it to as many people as you can.

I know many of you have volunteered, or will be volunteering, to work for the election of McCain-Palin. I will be doing the same. But there is no amount of envelope licking, phone calling, or wearing out of shoe leather that will be able to match the distributing via e-mail of this ten-minute video that fingers the culprits that the media are attempting to keep under wraps. Those culprits are directly involved in this election and the desire to attain the White House and retain control of Congress.

We cannot allow that to happen, and I believe the compilation of facts that this video represents, if placed in the hands of all thinking Americans, will see to it that it doesn't.

In his attempt to explain the causes of this crisis, the President insinuated in his speech of last night that it all started because America’s economy was considered so brilliant that it attracted investors from all over the world. As a result, banks and financial institutions were awash in money, and that state of affairs planted the seed for this debacle. (*choke*)

That is the greatest whitewash of the reasons for this catastrophe imaginable. Either President Bush is completely ill-informed and he believes that tripe, or he is the most blatant liar since Gepetto’s son walked off the woodcarver’s bench.

After the President’s speech, and after I stopped spitting nails, my husband and I watched Brit Hume and his panel on FoxNews offer up a brief analysis.

Charles Krauthammer, who is among my favorite political pundits, opined that the speech was quite good, and that he was surprised that the President spent virtually one-fifth of it attempting to explain the causes of the current crisis – since, in Krauthammer’s opinion, doing so amounts to simply an ‘academic exercise’.

An ‘academic exercise’? To discern what caused this major economic meltdown? Shall we just accept the notion that ‘too much foreign money’ floating around in American banks was the catalyst?

If we don't uncover the reason for this crisis, and determine who was responsible for it, will there be any reform? Or, post-bailout, will the perpetrators eventually continue with business-as-usual? Anyone who has an even rudimentary knowledge of government at any level has the answer to that question at his fingertips.

We are being fed whitewashed reports about the cause of this economic meltdown. If the true perpetrators of this massive criminal undertaking that promises to have devastating effects on the American people for decades to come are not uncovered, removed from power, and punished, there is no hope of realizing the kind of all-encompassing economic and political reform that will be necessary to not only stabilize our economy, but to ensure our very survival as a free republic.

TAKE TEN MINUTES -- AND SPREAD THE WORD!

In a more sane time, a lot of these people would be hanging from lamposts.

Note the change in lamp post design over the last few decades; they are higher (harder to get the rope over) and the shape is not necessarily conducive to keeping the rope in place.

Coincidence?

I cannot believe I am saying this. If Obama wins in November, and the criminals that did this control 2 parts of the system, it may be time to go past throwing the tea in the harbor. Jefferson was correct. Maybe this country will be a periodic revolution. Now that the Democrats was squandered away my IRA and my investments, and maybe today have destroyed my retirement, it is time I and millions of other Americans to take away from them. They no longer are representatives of the US People. They deserve to be removed by force.

I just spent about two hours researching the CRA of 1977 and provisions for subprime loans added in 1995, and the despicable bastards involved in it up until now. Then I called my legislators.

I asked their offices if they were getting a lot of feedback about this and they said that this was an UNDERSTATEMENT. One Senator's office I called was nothing short of crazy (I could hear it in the background). The aid even told me so, and the reason was because this very subject. But all legislator's offices were getting indunated with calls.

They can't be permitted to pull off this heist. People need to keep calling.

Can we just let the anti-bailout mood on both sides work first, and point those well-justified fingers at the Rats later?

Many of the people who are squawking the loudest about this crisis are those in congress who helped to bring it about. They are seeking to tie the McCain-Palin ticket to this 'Republican authored/Bush-administration-caused' tragedy, and we cannot allow that to happen.

Many of these criminals are up for re-election as well, and we need to get the word out that, while the country in sinking into an economic quicksand that was of their making, they continue to have as their first priority the amassing of political power and the setting in place of an ideological agenda. If we don't, they will continue to call the shots and, bailout or no bailout, there will be no reform or excising of the entrenched corruption that got us into this travesty in the first place.

Thanks for your valuable personal insights, FGS. You did indeed add much to the conversation.

This sentence, however, stands tall above all the rest in your post, and on this entire thread:

The states need to reclaim their rightful powers under the constitution.

I have nothing to add to that but applause!

There's not a word in your post with which I disagree.

If we're not going to revolt with rifles and pitchforks, then we do it with (what's left of) our money.

Despite all the 'running around like a chicken without a head' nonsense going on in congress at the moment, bailout or no bailout, absolutely nothing is going to change until we get the criminals out of congress and the financial industry, and put those who deserve to be in jail.

Sad to say, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Very talented, but too fast to read the pages it posts as evidence. One would have to sit on the pause button to get this thing.

I found the same objections, but I suspect that the authors wanted to get all of their information -- and research sources -- in, and didn't want to exceed ten minutes for the video. Many people who sit down to view a video would be turned off if they saw the total time as something more (We have to remember that the attention span of the average American runs in the nanoseconds).

I hit the pause button countless times when viewing the video, which is a nuisance, but proved to be well worth the effort.

Heh, too bad. Just now watching Reid and Dodd, two of the slimiest bastards I have ever laid eyes on lying through their store-bought teeth to us all. These two lying POS are doing everything their sick brains can conjure up to lay this at the feet of GWB and the Pubbies. Talk about unmitigated gall! Truly makes me want to puke.

In a rational world these two, along with their other Dim partners in crime would be groveling on the platform of the gallows begging for a reprieve. Would that it were so.

JMO, but part and parcel of any bailout, if there is to be one, is a repeal of the insane CRA legislation that brought us here in the first place. My God, if DC doesn't eliminate the root cause of this train wreck, we'll be revisiting it again and again.

What these idiot Dims are asking us to do in essence is allow the inmates to guard the asylum - again!

I agree with most of what you wrote, beachn4fun -- especially your reference to communism.

The nationalization of private industry is probably what troubles me the most about this entire crisis. And I can't help but wonder whether, on some level, that particular outcome was pre-ordained by the powers that be.

As for your comment, ... something needs to be done to save our economy but we need a better plan. Anytime the government "rushes" to fix something the middle class pays through the nose!, I take issue with the idea that 'something has to be done', especially when that 'something' is authored by the government.

If you have the time and inclination, I wrote an essay on that very subject on my weblog.

Thanks for the excellent insights.

Great video but I can’t locate the embed code so I can post it on our blog. If you have it can you post it?

The video isn't my creation, snippy, so I don't have access to the code. You may want to just post a link to it on your blog. I posted a link to it on my weblog this way.

Thanks for your interest it spreading the word!

Thanks joanie. Just now watching those two lying pompous asses, Harry Reid and Christopher Dodd wax eloquent about how they are to be our mortal saviors really set me off. Their sheer audicity all but leaves me speechless. God forgive me for what I would like to see happen to them and their partners in crime.
