Brand new push in Congress to prevent Shariah invasion

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., introduced a bill to the House of Representatives that seeks to prevent Islamic law from gaining a foothold in the U.S. legal system, as it has in other countries.

Tancredo introduced HR 6975, the Jihad Prevention Act, last week. If made into law, the bill would allow American authorities to prevent advocates of Islamic law, or Shariah, from entering the country, revoke the visa of any foreigners that champion it and revoke naturalization for citizens that seek to implement it in the U.S.

The radical form of Shariah includes several statutes objectionable to Western minds, including stoning for adulterous women, amputation for thieves and the death sentence for converting from Islam.

Anyone seen what's contained in Sharia Law? It's obviously been spawned in hell. When you read it, you can't believe anyone could take such a thing seriously. The article doesn't even contain some of the more heinous parts like detailed (and virtually impossible) instructions about how you're supposed to go to the bathroom. It's Schizophrenic Law and the crazy Islamists kill you if you're caught not keeping it.

Europe and other parts of the world are succumbing to this. God Bless Tom Tancredo for actually doing his job, in doing what our government is supposed to do: insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

The first part is probably okay, but the second two probably won't pass Constitutional muster. The 1st Amendment does protect the free speech of anyone in the country, so you most likely can't revoke someone's visa for voicing an opinion. And it would be blatantly unconstitutional to revoke someone's citizenship for advocating a change in American law.

You're quite right...Why should work places AND SCHOOLS have to provide prayer centers for this religion or whatever. Change your prayer hours.

Except for Prohibition, we've never passed a Constitutional amendment to limit peoples' rights.

Trying to use a law or a Constitutional amendment to ban a certain viewpoint or opinion is un-American.

Hardly. The Shariah ‘courts’ in London are a way of ‘settling out of court’. There’s your first clue that they have no judicial force.
