They may let the ban expire but try to add that stupid House so-called drilling bill which would be the same as keeping the ban in place.

“the large drop in oil prices today was just a coincidence.”

Along with the death of the biggest price increase ever via options on Monday. That may have been the biggest dead cat flop instead of a bounce in the history of the market.

Well then perhaps that ban should have been lifted sometime between 1995 and 2007 when the Republicans controlled the House and Senate.

“Bush wins AGAIN! HaHa!”

Yep that dumb, stupid Bush just won again with his stealth presidency.

Has this congress beat him on any critical legislation since Pelosi Galore and Reid the Dead took over?

Democrats to let offshore drilling ban expire
++++++++++++++++++
Doubt if this will mean anything. They’ll find other ways to ban.

They’ll find other ways to ban.

Yep they are not going to let this happen. They will let the ban expire but pass some legislation hidden in another bill that will have some goofy wording such as 'Offshore drilling is allowed as long as it is not under water" Too many fish down there

Lets wait and see. This is good news. The GOP should hold a big rally and press conference. McCain/Palin should take advantage of this big win if that is what it is.

I’m sure there’s an ugly side to this. Do you know what it is?
Such as Republicans have to allow E-Verify to die too? Something alone those lines.

Wonder if the sudden surrender by the dems on oil has anything to do with the FBI investigations on Fannie Mae, AIG and Lehman Brothers (the dems biggest benefactors)

CHECKMATE??

LOL

House Democrats will allow a quarter-century ban on drilling for oil off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts to expire next week.
They further state that it's a temporary thing, a ploy, basically to avoid a standoff that could turn into a government shutdown. Thanks Ernest.

This says to me that the Dims have got no leverage.... why? Because most of them are leveraged in the Crash in the markets and the campaign donations they got out of it... Yea, they want to piss off Repubbies not at all LOL!

Meat is back on the menu boys, the Dims got no legs to stand on.

...and, the Demwits have nothing to campaign on — “look, we’re against offshore drilling, but we’ve just let the ban expire, and, uh, we had a really good reason.” :’)
