Mr. David Littman, speaker for Association of World Education, was forbidden to finish his statement regarding islam and human rights this morning, at the 9th session of United Nations the Human Rights Council, in Geneva (Switzerland).
Mr. Littman, husband of the well known islamic scholar Bat Ye'or, addressed the delegates about the danger of creating the word "islamophobia" and the endemic antisemitism spread in the muslim world.
The Egyptian ambassador interrupted him and told the President of the Council that discussing religion was out of order at the United Nations. He added furthemore that no discussion of the islamic faith would be allowed by the Arab delegates of the Council.
Mr. Littman continued his statement but when he spoke about the call of murder of Jews by islamic clerics, his microphone was shut down by the President of the Council and he was not allowed to speak anymore.
The President calls all delegates to not criticize any religious faith. A same warning was made last June, when the same Mr. Littman was interrupted by furious delegates of the Organisation of the Islamic conference.
actually this is good news
Now no one in front of the UN will be able to bash semitism or zionism either- right?
Evict the UN from Manhattan.
Yeah, sure...
They keep repeating that Zionism is a political ideology, while Islam is a eligion.
They will continue to bash.
He wasn't. He was talking about a billion-strong subversive and violent political movement that has its own court system and militias. Islam is a massive threat to the civilized world.
They should have taken him back to the USA (right across the street) and given him the Rolling Stones sound system.
Since muslims incorporate their belief system into every facet of their lives each and every day, including work and politics, I would posit that islam should also be regarded as a political ideology.
Perhaps the next time an arab at the UN gets up to denounce ‘Zionism and the dirty Jews’, he should be reminded of that.
This reminds me of when Haile Selassie was shouted down by fascist goons in Geneva when he tried to speak against the invasion of his country at the League of Nations.
Same location, just a different cast; the totalitarians
and haters of Jews will intimidate anyone who tries to criticize them.
They exploit the Western distinction between secular and religious at every possible opportunity. They have no such distinction in their culture, so they may call for violence against Christians and Jews in the most ugly manner, and they're only attacking "Nationalism" or "Zionism." Meanwhile any aspect of the Islamic polity is exempt from even the slightest criticism because they are "religion."
But it’s OK to call the president of the US Satan.

Islamic Nations Push to Outlaw Religious Defamation Faces Hurdles

ARTICLE SNIPPET: The drive by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), led by members including Pakistan, Iran and Egypt, has sparked concern that the right to freedom of expression is being undermined by a group of countries, including some that enforce blasphemy laws and punish apostasy.
The issue also looks set to feature prominently at a U.N. conference on racism, planned for next April, and already dogged by controversy because the last such conference degenerated into what critics said was an Israel-bashing farce.
ARTICLE SNIPPET: Since 1999, the OIC has been promoting resolutions at the U.N. against the defamation of religion, citing an increase in cases of Islamophobia a catch-all term covering everything from caricatures of Mohammed to anti-terrorism profiling at airports.
The 57-member bloc defines Islamophobia as an irrational fear or dislike of Islam, incorporating racial hatred, intolerance, prejudice, discrimination and stereotyping. It attributes the phenomenon to misconception[s] and incorrect interpretation of Islam.

ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION; IT IS A TOTALITARIAN POLITICAL MOVEMENT WHOSE OBJECTIVE IS WORLD DOMINATION.
And don’t ever forget it.

"There will be no criticism of Islam!"
If illegal criminals and non-citizens visiting the USA have constitutional rights, such as free speech, then speakers in the UN would have those same protections too - wouldn’t they?
So why do we allow muslims to shut their critics down but permit all kinds of Jew bashing and hate-America speech?
The UN might have sounded like a good idea right after WWII but it has turned into a laughable but dandgerous hoax on well meaning Americans who allow this cess pit to exist in our midst.
Instead of extending peace and freedom throughout the world it has become a vehicle to support subjugation and promote hate and violence.
Don't they realize that if Islam were truly defensible God would see to it that no one would feel it necessary to criticise it.
These petulent outbursts only serve to demonstrate that Islam is not the true religion.
But, you can’t remind them without violating the ban on mentioning religions. See how neat and tidy all this is?
Did I mention that we may all be well and truly scr*wed?
Get the UN out of the USofA and the USofA out of the UN.
We do not need leftist leaders telling us what we can do, think, or how we can respond.
THEY want to die by the Jihadi Sword, let them. Then we’ll rescue Europe AGAIN.
Is there any chance Europe would agree to take them both?
Look at the photos from September 11, 2001 of the work of 19 Islamic radicals and then explain how my dislike of radical islamists is "irrational".
