I agree 100%. Back when my son was in high school I did some substitute teaching at our large suburban high school. (The same one which in later years put astroturf and a jumbotron on the football field with MY property taxes!)
Anyway, I had a general business class and it was full of kids who weren’t probably going to graduate, let alone go to college. They had a lesson on managing a checkbook and I couldn’t get them to pay attention, until I went on a rant about how if they didn’t understand this they would end up kicked out of their apartments and living on the street. I got their attention for that one lesson, but I don’t know if the regular teacher was able to get through.
But these kids were better off than the kids who were in the college prep classes. They didn’t get ANY information.
My son had to learn about it at home from me, and I wasn’t any great shakes at checking accounts because I had never been taught myself.
It’s a disgrace that we send kids out into the world without the basic information they need to function responsibly.
I thought it was a ‘left-over’ from earlier dim congresses.

Make sure you have an empty stomach before you read the above link.
This is how the big NYC BDs survived the movement to discount brokers and boutique investment banks and why they should not be rescued no matter how many NYC city jobs are lost. And why McCain got it right (accidentially?) and Cox should be fired. It was in his authority to write down these “assets” the first time they appeared on a balance sheet.
I don’t care what group sent what letter. The IRS decides tax exemptions and it would be a cold day in hell that any legitimate group protesting a nuclear Iran was going to have their tax exemption cancelled.
Bloomberg’s very savvy on domestic and global
financial matters. He created a multi-billion dollar
giant in the field.
Broken record
I think the word you are looking for is “denominations.”
Yeah I know what you mean.
And we continue to re-elect them??!!
Do you have a link on that redstate explanation?
The difficulty with VISTA initially was that Microsoft customers demand a OS that runs old stuff as well as new. That's the problem, and they came better than half way to that goal, but some progs are like poison to the OS, and Apple does not even bother with that issue so they only appear to be better, yet they do so much less.
Simplicity is a good thing for some, but not for me.
Just sayin........:-)
It did change with the Dims ... they
see it as another vehicle for buying
votes, their main mission and talent.
Thanks a lot I will check it.
No some left hand one legged Lesbian project to coin a phrase will get most of it.
Imagine if McCain had someone on his team that fleeced Fredie Mac for $90 Mil? Think ABDNC would ignore that, even if he was Black??
Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops
Back later. I have to get some eBay stuff ready, which probably won’t make me much money, since last week’s sales were WAY down, no doubt due to the media talking about a Great Depression II.
He is all for it.
It will be his fault if he doesn’t veto it.

Extraordinarily complex set of issues.
Information is your friend. BDS doesn’t
figure into the solution.

boring and I haven’t learn a thing(then again, I am a Freeper), except Blitzer has a ‘blackberry’, and he wants to equate Al Gore’s direct statement to inventing the internet to a McCain advisor’s about the blackberry
