On Thursday, the New York Times filed another piece cheering Barack Obama for making inroads in a traditionally Republican state - Ian Urbina's "Both Parties Set Sights on Virginia in November." Back on August 17, the state was North Carolina, and Obama's quest was greeted in the Times with an optimistic story headlined "Obama Backers Mobilize in Bid to Wrest State From Republican Grip." The Times hasn't followed up on North Carolina, perhaps because cumulative polling data show John McCain with a nine-point lead there (the August story quoted an average lead of four points in the polls).

News to me that not asking questions is a sign of intelligence. I guess they are smarter than us all, they said so!
Better educated and more diverse means
artificial intelligence and affirmative action!
This litany leaves out the most salient fact, which is that northeastern Virginia also has a far greater proportion of government workers and those dependent on the government for work than most anywhere else.
Liberal speak meaning that the vast majority of Americans are too ignorant for their own good and are bitterly clinging to their religion and guns rather than embracing Obama the Messiah. Elitism is the very soul of liberalism..the poor ignorant masses have to be taken care of by the benevolent elites who will make the "right" decisions for them.
