In a rut? Need to shake up your life? Come join the INFIDELS for the MICHAEL SAVAGE SHOW!
But generally it's true. He's commented on air that his own family is against it, if my memory serves.
Just this week he commented on it as if to acknowledge it as something that not all appreciate. He seemed to me to be a bit circumspect. I have no way to prove it.
But most important is I commented above on his misrepresentation of what Rush says. Rush has not given Wall Street a pass.
Savage started this about five years ago. It adds nothing to conservatism. IMO. Misrepresentation of competitors' views just ain't right.
He could have used his competitors' support in his efforts to get CAIR.
: P
I heard that one. My hubby is a fan of that talk show host. I had to snicker a bit. Hehehe.
The whole lot of today's most popular national talk show hosts could disappear over night and be replaced the next day by men and women just as patriotic, intelligent, and dedicated to America.
This should not be a battle among egos. It's about whose America wins the so-called culture war -- that is, IMO, a battle in the bigger world war to defend against radical Islam. We lose the battle we've lost the war.
Thus it is from that perspective that as long as I have the privilege to post on Free Republic I will criticize whomever I please. I will not always be right, of course. I've have said it many times, truth is more important than my ego.
(Yes, talk radio is above all a business.)
The truth as I see it is that a "Gorelick Wall" of egos cut off the excellent and brave Savage maneuver to expose CAIR.
Cooperation among talk shows would have destroyed CAIR in court. IMO. The copyright stuff was thrown out but the rest was the stuff of serious exposure of CAIR and could have proceeded.
Hey all. This whole things socks. Honestly, if I didn't know how the story ends (see Revelation), I would be dispiried in a big way. Even then, it hurts to see our nation going into the communist tank the way that it is.
Just yesterday I was listening to George Grant give a high school (taped) lecture, talking about the differences between the original America and the alternatives of oligarchy, socialism and democracy.
In his mind, socialism is where no one owns anything, and democracy is where everyone has a direct vote. I thiink Savage was right yesterday, we might be witnessing the Triumph of the Oligarchy.
