State Representative Mike Kernell, a Memphis Democrat, made a statement to the Tennessean in which he identified his son, David Kernell, as the hacker who broke in to vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palins email address and posted screenshots of the contents on the internet.
Mike Kernell represents District 93, which covers the University of Memphis, and parts of south-east Memphis. He told the Tennessean on Thursday that it was indeed his son David who, using the handle Rubico, posted the original screenshots of Governor Palins e-mail account after using Yahoos password recovery service and a bit of research to find out personal details about Palin and subsequently gain control of her password. The father refused to make any further comment, especially on the whereabouts of his son.
David Kernell, aged 20, is a student at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Using the handle Rubico, he made a post on the 4chan.org forums, in which he alleges that he is the one who is responsible for leaking Governor Palins e-mail inbox details online, and goes on to provide a believable account of how he did it.

Here in Cleveland County, OK, south of Oklahoma City, Obama supporters are taking out McCain/Palin signs and replacing them with Obama signs.
I have a McCain sticker on my car that has been there since February with no problem.
Sorry about the bold. I don’t know why that happened.
Dont know about this. Dems usually dont admit to guilt so quickly. Article yesterday said email account was traced to Chicago. Was there someone else involved? Is the kid the fall guy?
My husband was nervous about me putting one on my car as well. But I did because no one is going to shut me up.
Well done.
Go to Staples or a sign shop. They have magnetic material. You can make your own signs, as I have done, or use a sticker on a piece of the soft magnetic material. When you park your car, take off the sign.
Well, my yard sign survived it’s first night. I put it up when the kids were at school so they wouldn’t see me RUBBING THE WHOLE SIGN WITH POION IVY!
Live in fear and they will beat us. It is hard and sometimes expenive but living in fear allows your enemy to win.
We are putting up a 8ft by 4ft Banner on our property (with the big brother cam pointer at it)
King Vanity will be a rolling Sarah- McCain/Palin 08 billboard.
His wheelchair color/design on the frame is American Flags (Quickie) so it will have added to to I am a Pro Life Voter MCCAIN/PALIN and Sarah bumper sticker. A yard sign attached to it and he will be wearing his McCain/Palin T shirt and Hat along with an array of buttons.
He is also packing a couple of hundred of stickers in his back pack to give to those who compliment his rolling billboard.
A one man campaigner on the loud liberal Oregon Coast!
“POISON IVY!” Durn!
“Brand him with the letters I.T. (Identity Thief) on the foread. Public branding. Hot iron.”
I think you’re being too nice to him. Hang him upside down by his balls!
On another subject, to make any bumper sticker magnetized, go to a crafts store (like Michaels) and ask for something called Paint A Mag, which is a roll of magnetized substance which costs about 10 bucks.
Carefully stick your bumper to the white side of the roll, making sure it doesn't wrinkle, and cut around it. You now have a magnetized bumper sticker.
The roll will make at least 10 magnetized bumper stickers.
I can't even get one here in Michigan!
If you'll allow me a short story - a true story: I used to have sticker that said "Hillery doesn't trust him, why should we?" during Clinton's first election. I had that sticker on for months until one day, I went to the local library where they were hosting some NEA meeting in one of their public rooms. When I emerged quite a while later (I tend to spend a long time when I go there) the teachers' meeting had adjourned and my sticker was ripped off my bumper. I really don't think it was a NEA member, though, because they believe in the principles of free speech.
I can see your point.
This is the hip hop generation, the ones who lived for ‘grand theft auto’ video games. They’ll think nothing of committing a Federal crime on the Inernet...heck, it’s only the Internet? These kids have not grown up in the real world...and this one needs to be taought..real crimes ahve real consequences...but I won’t hold my breath.
Four years ago during the last election cycle I had to make a temp move from Texas to Seattle. I had a big F-250 Ford diesel truck with Texas license plates parked on the street in front of my temporary apartment. Talk about nervous.
The only thing that happened was someone let the air out of one of my tires. Not bad in the land of Volvo's and Subaru's with Kerry/Edwards stickers all over the place.
About three years ago there was white supremist demonstration in my neighborhood. I was pissed off, being Jewish and all. I went to get my things to go outside and tell them off, and my husband went ballistic! However, he knows better than to tell me what NOT to do, so I went, said my peace, and showed those morons up for who they are...ignorant assholes.
If not me, than who? If not you, than who?
I thought the same thing. I just bought a new car and really agonized over whether to put my McPalin sticker on. In the end, I did it anyway. I figure that they were no better than the Islamofascist who try to scare me with violence and death to become a shut-in. Why should they have the right to express thier support for their candidate but I can not?
Yes, I know I am taking a terrible risk. Luckily I live and work in a heavily Republican area of St. Louis/St. Charles, so I breathe just a bit more easily.
You have got to be kidding? I have anti-Obama stickers all over my car and a NOBAMA shirt that says “When all else failes, vote from the roof tops.” Nary a peep.
Put it right next to your NRA sticker.
