The Republican Convention shifted the battle field for this election from the empty "Change" mantra, to a neutral field that is undefined as it stands now. The "Country First" moniker is an excellent start, but now is the time to define the issues debate for the remainder of the campaign. Either define the issues and make the opponent play on your field, or have the opposite done for you.
Here is my version of "The McCain Plan" we'll call it "The Cocktoasten-McCain Plan" (the title in and of itself is an attention grabber)
1. Victory in the war and rebuilding the strength of the military
2. Reduction of Federal Spending. This is the GOLDEN issue for Joe Six Pack. Roll out some up front specific government reductions and eliminations. This will bring out the howls of the homeless and social welfare class about "cuts" on school lunches and "cuts" for the elderly. The average person knows the government is nearly bankrupt and "Country First" means buck up and get of the goverment "teet"
3. Entitlement Reform. Get mediscare and soash security headed toward solvency, or further delayed insolvency. Back to the pending bankruptcy. Maybe show an 0bama impersonator signing a bankruptcy petition for the united states government.
4. Corporate Tax Rate Reduction and Make Permanent the Tax Cuts expiring in 2010. Explain the rationale for the cut in the corporate tax rate to 28% from 39%. Immediate boost in the stock market, more capital to help banks boost their capital base, more capital for industrial companies to invest in new products and expand. This is the ONLY proposal that will result in more jobs.
5. Energy Independence. Reform of environmental regulations to ease the building of new nuclear and coal power plants, as well as more oil and nat gas facilities. Full speed ahead on ALL fronts
Feel free to append and suggest your ideas. We need the plan now!! With the plan, we can take this election as well as the house.
Zot bait?
You’re right on the money. I’d like to see it start today. I see no other way than to make these the five key issues.
Newbie vanity zot bait.
I would just add that the McCain Camp, the RNC and the house and senate republicans need to get busy going on record to:
EXPOSE THE DEMOCRAT CORRUPTION IN THE FANNIE MAE AND FREEDIE MAC!! USE THE BULLY PULPIT AND THE NEWS MEDIA TO EDUCATE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!! CALL FOR CONGRESSIONAL INVESTIGATIONS AND GET THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT INVOLVED!!
You guys need to do a search on his/her posts before you jump the gun here. He/she has been doing awesome work on Free Republic exposing Obama and his thugs!!
6) Get serious about building the border wall and bring the full force of the U.S. Government down upon employers who hire illegal aliens.
“Here is my version of “The McCain Plan” we’ll call it “The Cocktoasten-McCain Plan” (the title in and of itself is an attention grabber)”
You need to get over yourself. Cocktoasten is a stupid name to boot.
IBTZ
Excellent. Just add a paragraph about the Border and no amnesty, and I don’t think there’s anything else to be said.
Fletch? Is that you?
Imagine the irony of a chevy chase character being used to promote republican/conservative policy....
C’mon, there’s nothing original here worth a newbie vanity, sorry. That is what the comment section is for. Leave the posts for the pros.
“John Cocktosten” is an alias Chevy Chase used in the movie “Fletch”. I hear Mr. Chase is a real fan of Gov. Palin. /s
HILLARYIOUS!!!!
And all this time I thought he was just a sheepherder.
zoteruski
Obviously you’ve never seen the movie Fletch. His handle is from the movie. And do a search of this person before IBTZ, k?
He has been posting some great articles on Obama and the democrats corruption. Do your research!!
If he continues to expose Obama and his marxist thugs like he has been doing the last few days...He should be able to post any ‘vanity’ he pleases.
For that matter....HE CAN POST ‘VANITY THREADS’ ON MY FOREHEAD and I will get a you-tube account!!
Get over it! LOL
Look, we all post great articles now and then. But sorry, this vanity is not one of them.
