ABC News Charles Gibson, who is being credited with stumping Sarah Palin on the definition of the Bush Doctrine, has himself defined the nebulous phrase in a variety of ways, including one that mirrored Palins disputed explanation.
Gibson and his colleagues have been all over the map in defining the Bush Doctrine over the last seven years. In 2001, Gibson himself defined it as a promise that all terrorists organizations with global reach will be found, stopped and defeated.
But when Palin tried to give a similar definition on Thursday, Gibson corrected her.

"Gibson planned to go into law, but reconsidered when he determined his grades were not sufficient for top tier law schools. Gibson joined the RKO Radio Network in 1966 as a producer, but then switched gears given the Vietnam War and joined the Coast Guard..." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Gibson First off I have tremendous respect for the Coast Guard but I'm not sure that's what good ol' Charlie had in mind back then. I just thought it would be interesting to take a look at those who would hold GOP candidates to a certain standard...

Excellent. Someone should print this, shove it under Gibson’s snooty, bespectacled nose, and make the biased hack read it.

There is no single meaning of the Bush Doctrine. In fact, there have been four distinct meanings, each one succeeding another over the eight years of this administration and the one Charlie Gibson cited is not the one in common usage today. It is utterly different. Love it.

The sharp viewer would have noticed that he said "The Bush Doctrine, as I understand it...", which shows that even he wasn't even sure what he was asking!

Gibsons face looked like he hadn’t taken a dump in weeks.

I’m confused...she asked Charlie...”In What Respect”? That tells me she was asking him what part of the doctrine are you referring to....? Then she immediately stated Bush’s purpose.

Gibsons face looked like he hadnt taken a dump in weeks.I could almost detect a faint odor of cheese. I think he's been eating too much of it.
Cheese will 'lock you up'.

No sense in trying to understand what charlie was getting at. It was a simple attempt to “trip her up”. They are very afraid of our Conservative Superwoman!

Chris Matthews, on his Hardball show, is right now, having a field day hitting on just about every answer Sarah Palin gave. I finally had to turn him off because what he spews isn’t news. It is his twisted opinion. Gibson interview wasn’t anymore honest than is the rest of the leftest MSM.. Sarah was outstanding. Her answers were right on, no leading one way or the other, prompt and concise. She is her own person, and owns it!

I switched over to MSNBC to see storm news and caught some of Chris Matthews with the D-former governor of Alaska, and then R-guy who ran against Palin and lost. He was badgering the guy. I got so mad watching him, I had to turn it off. Made me want to punch him.

I watched a few minutes of Chrissy and started yelling at the TV for him to go hump his tingled leg. I started getting ill and had to change the channel and stop doing enemy research.
To: fightinJAG
I thought Sarah handled the question perfectly, including when she said ‘What do you mean, Charlie’?.

Nice to see someone in the MSM use the same tactic on Gibson.
Payback’s a b*tch.

My options are to pay another $10/month for another box {nahhhhhh} or exerting my power over Mrs. Alaska {nahhhhhhhh} or not watching chrissy girl {that works for me}.
