Sept. 11, 2008 | I have been dreaming about Sarah Palin. (Apparently, I'm not alone.) I wish I could say that I'd been conjuring witty, politically sophisticated nightmares in which she leads troops into Vancouver or kindergartners in the recitation of "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." But, alas, mine have been nonsensical, kiddie-style doozies in which she kidnaps my cats, or enjoys a meal with my girlfriends while I bang on the restaurant window. There's also a chilling one, in which a scary witch stands on a wind-swept hill and leers at me.
What troubles me most -- aside from the fact that there is suddenly a Republican candidate potent enough to so ensnare my psyche -- is my sense that these are dreams in which it matters very much that Palin is a woman.

The scary witch leering from the hill is real. She represents the state of NY there.
I should ad that I think follow politics alot, but have never had a dream, much less a nightmare about Obama or Hillary. Palin maybe. We were trapped in an igloo and she asked me to help her avoid hypothermia.
The Democrats can’t stand the fresh vision of feminism that Sarah represents. It isn’t the feminism of NARAL or NOW. Sarah isn’t a hairy-legged old spinster professor who clings to her abortion rights and sexual promiscuity.
Sarah is a real “liberated woman” - like the rest of us who have partnered with the men in our lives to follow our dreams and reach our goals.
They’re the ones dreaming of the fairness doctrine so they can be hoisted out of their underground lairs.
It’s called
having your conscience convict you of your sinful beliefs and actions.
This is why they hate her so much, she prods their consciences.
This is also why they must remove all vestiges of religion from public view.
This is why the word “rare” was removed from the DNC platform’s abortion plank.
I must have missed all the worried feminists’ articles detailing their nightmares of Bill Clinton performing their pap smears with a cigar or their having to frantic appearrances at parties only to discover they are wearing a goo soaked blue Gap dress.
Note: the underlying theme for this person, someone who would probably pride herself on her Tolerance, is that All Republicans Are Evil. Nice open mind there, mam.
The first time I read Salon, I thought it was a parody site like the Onion, only less funny.

When viewed in the light of that fact, the Left's behavior toward Palin is easily explained in its every detail.
Actually I think they’ve already been hitting the psychotropic meds pretty hard...
After reading this, I must admit that I always thought it was only guys who lived in their Moms’ basements and wrote idiotic drivel.
