Amie Parnes reports from Lebanon, VA:
Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.
"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."
"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."
"We've had enough of the same old thing."
The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."
LOLOLOLOLOLO
He’s really rattled.
It is clear that snObama has that “moose in the headlights look” right now.
He probably meant “weekend” candidate since he was appointed during a Senate recess.
Definitely black urban pronunciation.
To think Obama didn’t know EXACTLY what he was saying and EXACTLY how his minions would react is giving WAY too much credit to this piece of human garbage. Buck Ofama...

And Sarah can smell Moose fear.
This thing's gone viral. The donkey's out of the barn.
Barry, we hardly knew you...

"Desperation is like stealing from the Mafia, you stand a good chance of attracting the wrong attention"
Think about it....
Obama collected millions of dollars from Soros, Chicoms, Euroweenies, assorted islamics and the Chicago mafia.....which was supposed to buy influence when Obama entered the White House.
How he can't deliver....
Some very nasty angry people will want a full refund.
Right—he’s halfway between Shiloh and Appomattox!
No problem MOgirl,
I tend to overexplain things when I have a point I want to get across.
Sometimes I have to take a step back and think about if I really want to go there, and you know what I mean. LOL
The intro to his statement, about all the things that will be the same, was in a political cartoon several days ago. Either the cartoonist knew Barry was going to say that, or...
BTW, I know there are many on FreeRepublic asking us to drop this and not make a “mountain out of a molehill”. Respectfully, I say: “SCREW THAT!!!” This is the sort of “gaffe” taken out of “context” that has RUINED the political career of many a good conservative. Fellow Freepers: DO NOT LET THIS DIE! Begin e-mailing everyone you know, flood the phone lines tomorrow and let’s send this muslim piece of $hit back to Indonesia or wherever the f**k he comes from! Sorry for the coarse language, but this guy suffers from a lack of good azz kickings in his life that a father would have lovingly provided....
Yes, I see this is the Democratic response. Saying Sarah should stay on the porch, that Obama is the “big dog”....he’s a dog alright.
Normally I would agree with you, but don't fool yourself - The Left is out to crucify Sarah Palin.
And this "lipstick" rhetoric is a deliberate strategy on the part of Team 0Bama; note the two stories which Ben Smith filed today a mere six hours apart:
Carnahan: 'Theres no way you can dress up that record even with a lot of lipstick'That's two different members of Team Obama using the same rhetoric in one day.

I also agree with something that Wolfstar just posted, at #1115:
#1115, Wolfstar: Not only did Obama spew his outrageous misogynistic crap, but he did it with his voice edging into a black street thug accent. Just a hint of it, but it was unmistakable. And you should also look at Tammy Bruce's take on the matter:
Obama Panics, Hits Bottom of Barrel, DigsI'd also urge you to look at two more stories from today:

tammybruce.com...Outrageous. Actually, without devolving into too much body language issues here, even Obama is uncomfortable with what he's about to do. Notice he puts his hand up to ostensibly scratch his face, but is actually covering it. And remember also, we've learned he uses teleprompters at these events, so that slur was not off-the-cuff, it was written and planned and he delivered it, consciously...

City slickers invade Wasilla

online.wsj.com...It's no surprise, then, that Democrats have airdropped a mini-army of 30 lawyers, investigators and opposition researchers into Anchorage, the state capital Juneau and Mrs. Palin's hometown of Wasilla to dig into her record and background. My sources report the first wave arrived in Anchorage less than 24 hours after John McCain selected her on August 29...
McCain Camp Says Biden's Remarks on Stem Cell Research are 'Offensive,' 'Disturbing,' 'Desperate'

downspalin: I Miss My MommyAgain, The Left & Team 0bama have made a conscious, premeditated, coordinated decision to destroy Sarah Palin.

” This is a 30-second ad - signed, sealed, delivered. No voiceover just 25 seconds covering the main comments (pig, fish, laughter) and then fade in “Change we can believe in?” Done.”
Indeed - done right, this can be the famous “mushroom cloud” ad for McCain and Palin. 10 seconds of Palin addressing a huge, cheering crowd, including her “lipstick on a hockey mom” comment. Fade to Obambi making his “lipstick on a pig” comment. Then fade to “Change we can believe in?”

Great thoughts, you two.
I fully support Sarah Palin and was hopeful she’d be McCain’s choice for the months that preceded the decision. I may have made a comment or two about it here at FR.
I make no excuses for Obama. I believe ‘stinky fish’ raises a different set of concerns than that of crude humor. Common sense should have been enough to steer the jabs in a different direction if for political reasons alone.
JV was on with Tony Snow and quite a few others.
Personally, I think the campaign would be wise to just let Obama and Co stew in their own juices.
Mc's campaign told them to apologize. The ball is in their court, anything less than an apology is going to fall flat. I hope it takes them a week of media coverage before they do.
