Talk about dead cat bounce.

If those numbers hold true, Obama is the dead cat.

Sweet irony. Those Federal campaign funds are looking awfully good right now, I bet.

Delicious, isn't it? I love seeing an egomaniac getting his tail handed to him.

Rasmussen has it tied. See #230

Rass says: Daily tracking results are collected via telephone surveys of 1,000 likely voters per night and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. The margin of sampling error—for the full sample of 3,000 Likely Voters--is +/- 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Results are also compiled on a full-week basis and crosstabs for the full-week results are available for Premium Members.

The script for Zogby and Gallup goes like this.

1. Make it seem like Obama is down.

2. At the debates have him begin to surge (by reporting the actual numbers.)

3. Make the American public think that ZerObama has the Big Mo. This brings on all the undecideds...who after all have to be mentally challenged given that they can't make up their minds between McCAin and Obama. (They think their job is the guess the winner, not to vote for who's best for the nation.)

4. It is extremely hard to counter the 'big mo' lie in the last few weeks of a campaign.

I tend to agree with Rush. Polls are mostly so agenda driven. They don’t mean much this early. If Gallup says 55%-44% it’s probably really 64% to 34%. In November the winner will likely be in the neighborhood of 50% to 51% and the loser will be 50% to 49%.

The left is already making contingency plans...

And they won't be according to Hoyle either.

There's a long way to go and mountains of libera-slung dirt to climb before we get there.

I have some sympathy for O’s hardcore supporters.

Yeah, like the sympathy I have for deluded individuals that present a danger to society. Gee folks, sorry you're loony, but I still don't want you running around with sharp objects.

I guess this explains the New Yawk Slimes hit piece on the Palin baby that is supposed to be coming out.

That will just engender more sympathy for the Palin family from women voters that were inclined to vote for a Democrat; doesn't seem like a smart choice and their part but perhaps they are just fey.

No wonder Nobama is changing views to match McCain’s. He’s flip-flopping all over the place.

Someone with the requisite skills ought to photoshop Joe Biden’s face onto a picture of a moose, like was done with that pic of McCain’s onto a rhinoceros.

I can’t believe anyone still cites to Intrade after it had Pawlenty at nearly 90% to be picked as VP.

When bad exit polls leaked in 2000, the betting sites all went to Kerry.

I think a Chimp flinging poop at the electoral college map would be a better indicator than Intrade.

Two different polls. The 48-45 from earlier was the Gallup daily tracking poll with a three day rolling sample. The 54-44 is a Gallup poll commissioned by USA Today and conducted once or twice a month.

Pardon my cynicism, but ...

Rumor and vicious imagination have a vast arsenal, if one is set to applying it, and they are. They show no fear of market rebuke, do they?
