John McCain has moved ahead of Barack Obama in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking, 48% to 45%, following last weeks Republican convention. This is McCains best showing since May.More ...

There are other factors coming into play that will also move McCain up in the polls as we get nearer election day. A worsening global economic outlook, and economic slowdown here doesn't bode well for Democrats.
Go Sarah Go!!!
Oh, I like that one!
electoral-vote.com had Kerry winning 275 electoral votes on election day 2004.
That site is worthless.
I may not be on the right thread for this, so if me asking this question bugs you just kick me out...
I need someone to help me debunk (if possible) the following statistics that I was just given by an anti-war loon.
The “loon” is trying to say that 9/10 deaths in the Iraq war are civilian deaths.
Here is the info:
Survey){Iraqi deaths}[March 2003 to...]
(Iraqi Health Ministry survey){151,000 violent deaths out of 400,000 excess deaths due to the war}[June 2006]
(Lancet survey){601,027 violent deaths out of 654,965 excess deaths}[June 2006]
(Opinion Research Business survey){1,033,000 violent deaths as a result of the conflict} [August 2007]
17,979-23,690 insurgents dead according to the united states military.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP!
How does you math friend explain his +7.2%?
That’s too funny.. Some of them are also stuck on the “Sarah is Trig’s Grandma” smear, too... Saw another thread about that over on DU. It’s all quite hysterical!
Terrorist attacks causing civilian deaths in Iraq aren’t “due to the war”. They wouldn’t stop even if we left tomorrow.
They are attacks by mindless Islamic fundamentalist zombies, who will continue killing people in Iraq after we are gone. They will do this until they control the entire country, and continue killing all those they consider “apostates” from Islam.
Then they will use Iraq as a base to kill people somewhere else, namely Isreal, the remaining Christians in Jordan, and attack any other ME government they consider not on their side.

What a BS website.
How sad that within 5 days McCain will be declared ineligible and a few days later the Obama will join him...
What about if she's on the ticket in '08?
Obama never stood a chance with mainstream Americans. We should see that more and more in the polls as we near election day.
Love your little zerobama!
I posted 4 references which say the death rate is lower after Saddam, which one do you take issue with
Further, most Americans’ would put freedom ahead of life, (Live Free or Die) so the death argument is bogus anyways. However, assuming its relevant, the death rate even during the war is lower than under Saddam.
Well- all theories aside- I was outside in the garden and the phone rang..came in to answer and lo and behold- it was Rasmussen!
The questions were all sliding scale- preferences for POTUS, if you had to make a really important decision- would you ask McCain or Obama for advice...what is your impression of Biden, Palin, my governor Crist.
Have I ever missed voting when I’ve had the opportunity..
Education, am I female or male- even if I was voting for the Republican- who did I want to win the Dem nom etc.
Took about 10 minutes.

The latest wave of state-by-state polling, market data and national trends have pushed the Rasmussen Reports’ Electoral College projections as close as our daily Presidential Tracking Poll.
The latest numbers from the Rasmussen Reports Balance of Power Calculator show Obama leading in states with 193 Electoral College votes and McCain ahead in states with 183 Electoral College votes. Previously, Obama had enjoyed a 210165 advantage.
Currently, states with 135 Electoral College votes are leaning slightly in one way or the other, and three states with a total of 27 votes — Colorado, Nevada and Virginia — are pure toss-ups.
BYE-BYE Obama! The militant is going down.
What happened to the rest of my post?
Wanted to add the the Obamanation has been trending downward since August.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday, September 7, shows the race for the White House is tied.
In the first national polling results based entirely on interviews conducted after Sarah Palins acceptance speech, Barack Obama gets 46% of the vote and so does John McCain. When “leaners” are included, its all even at 48%. Tracking Poll results are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day and a FREE daily e-mail update is available.
This past Tuesday, Obamas bounce peaked with the Democrat enjoying a six-percentage point advantage. Before the two conventions were held, Obama had consistently held a one or two point lead over McCain for most of August
