Palin will make no difference in this administration. Her advice will be ignored by the old man.
McCain is a conservative how????
My worries about the Supreme Court realized.
Every President does this. And Sarah Palin will be the most influential VP since Dick Cheney. And this is no time to be putting out bad vibes.
I wonder when Barry going to say me too.
With Palin sitting next to him, McNutjob will have to be VERY careful. Besides SOME dems - like Liebermann - would be good in the right spopt - like Secretary of State or Defense or Ambassador to the U.N.
AND if McNutjob can’t finish his term - Palin will make a GREAT President.
Well, he owes Leiberman... If he means putting Ted Kennedy on the bench - that’s different.
This is a political bone. Like when Clinton appointed Senator Cohen. It is a mile wide statement and an inch deep.
Besides there are some capable Democrats and there are some jobs that don’t have a Rat philosophy as being a threat. As long as their general philosophy agrees with the old man, they can have a job somewhere.
Frankly, it probably means Joe Lieberman gets a reward for standing by his friend at the Republican convention. It’s the last job he’ll probably get.
Have no fear the McCain worshippers will be along to inform you that they’ve seen the light and the light is McCain.
No worries... This is lip service. Obama said similar.
Palin comes with a price.
Which mean Joe Lieberman will get a cabinet position, big deal.
Maybe this is a sop to the Democrat controlled Senate that will be confirming these appointees.
Yes, it’s reaching out to independent and Dem voters who McCain needs to win. But naah, let’s just give up and
try to reach only those on the Right. And Michelle will
be by her husband’s side as he takes the oath of office.
That’ll be better, eh? (Even though we probably are a
center-right country, we need to reach some on the center-left
too)
01/20/09 President McCain’s FIRST Day
I'm sure Barry intends to put democrats in his admin as well.
Who, exactly is putting out bad vibes? Is it McCain - promising to put liberal idiots in his administration or someone who objects to it?
Frankly, so long as they are capable and remember their loyalty to this Country and their boss, the President, I don't care what party a Cabinet officer came from.
Puleeez.
I think that Lieberman might be a good pick for Foggy Bottom. Hell, on the important foreign policy issues (Israel, middle east, etc), he is right on. It will also keep him outta domestic policy for years, and be a sop to the Democrats.
Plus, there are about 15 worthless “cabinet” posts that could be given to dems that have no power at all.
People should relax. He is going to make Liberman Secretary of State or something. I dont agree with him on domestic politics but he has been stronger than many republicans on foreign policy.
