This is a political bone. Like when Clinton appointed Senator Cohen. It is a mile wide statement and an inch deep.

Besides there are some capable Democrats and there are some jobs that don’t have a Rat philosophy as being a threat. As long as their general philosophy agrees with the old man, they can have a job somewhere.

Frankly, it probably means Joe Lieberman gets a reward for standing by his friend at the Republican convention. It’s the last job he’ll probably get.

The point is that we already have a Democrat at the head of the ticket. He’s just running as a Republican. His issue positions are, for the most part, to the left of the original JFK. How quickly some of us forget that McCain was the nominee selected for us by the New York Times and the rest of the enemedia. Maybe he has finally figured out that the media is no longer his friend, if they ever were. I’m not convinced, but the selection of Sarah Palin gives me hope.

Exactly. McCain knows there are lots of Dems who are less than enchanted with Obama.

He is trying to win their votes.
