Well, he owes Leiberman... If he means putting Ted Kennedy on the bench - that’s different.

“Well, he owes Leiberman... If he means putting Ted Kennedy on the bench - that’s different.”

Why? Because he made a speech at the convention? Because he “supports” our war against global terrorism?

Every American should support our war against terrorism, so Joe should get a special dispensation for doing what any American politician should be doing?

If there are loyal conservatives/republicans who are vastly more qualified for cabinet positions, why would you put in a psudo-dem. Plus you would take away an (I) from Conn. and the libs in Conn. would just appoint another (D) for the Senate.

I figured as soon as he spoke at the convention, Leiberman’s Demo/Independent days were done.

He can never go back.

Which means he becomes a Republican and never gets elected again (in CT anyway), or he retires.

Or he becomes part of the McCain administration.

He’s fully vested in McCain now.

Well, he owes Leiberman.

He does? You mean the only reason Leiberman came out for McCain is because McCain promised him something? How typical.
