Has he pledged to appoint any Republicans?

“Maybe McCain can appoint Obama for dogcatcher-general.”

And all dog catchers under Obama would be forced to watch Ayers CDs on why to join the Weather Underderground and become bomb terrorists.

Here’s Oabama’s similar lip service.

But look which priority he put first. “Energy Independence”.

How does that reconcile with his pro stand for cap and trade? Why does he want to limit economic growth in the U.S?

Or, does he plan to start a company like Al Gore did which brokers carbon offsets. Or, (I just thought of this) maybe he's in with Al Gore.

You can apply all the pressure you’d like after November 5. But now we must close ranks.

Yeah sure, adopting the democrat hive mind mentality works every time it's tried. LOL>br>
How dare we the people demand anything from our government who only look out for our best interests.

Look we all know about McCain and his tone deaf ear. But he is the only game in town to stop a flat out marxists from taking the White House, end of story.

And we will have to be vigilant on judges and illegal immigration.
We know this.

Thanks.

Okay, that was before he was even nominated. I wonder what he says recently?

One hand: IN PRINCIPLE, this far-righter doesn’t have any problem with that statement. IN PRINCIPLE, I thing a Pres should appoint the best people, irrespective of their party affiliation.

Other hand: MY PROBLEM with the statement however is — well, what Dems have shown themselves worthy of this kind of regard? Who’s lived up with it? Seriously, can anyone mention a time in the last 20 years when a GOPer has “reached out” to a Dem and not gotten screwed for it?

Third hand (running out of hands): though no McCain fan, I think he has to talk this way in this climate. I think (emphasis on “think”) it’s probably smart and necessary. The GOP hasn’t endeared itself to America in the last eight years of dominance. McCain HAS TO reach out to Dems and independents. He secured his base with Palin (who also appointed Dems and independents), and now he HAS TO reach out.

So, net: GIVEN that we’re stuck with McCain, it doesn’t bother me terribly. He’s obviously chosen some killer advisers (best GOP pres campaign I’ve seen since Reagan), and he chose a KILLER VP.

(Sorry for the caps; too lazy to html right now)

“And I’ll tell you, some of them, I’ll ask to work for a dollar a year.”

How about we turn this around and tell Congress to pay we TAXPAYERS for their jobs? At least make the appearance of EARNING it for a change.

This is election year jabbering, though Sarah Palin said in some of her speeches that she appointed Dems to posts in her administration as Governor.

There are a few good ones out there; however the majority of the worthless ‘Rats and RINOs give the other 99% a bad name!

sorry my FRiend... just because he threw us a bone by naming Sarah Palin as VP we need to make sure that he gets the message that the conservative base is voting FOR Sarah Palin and that he is just "baggage" on the ticket...

He secured his base with Palin

That's tenuous at best. I like what I've seen but she's still only a VP pick and she's still got plenty of questions to answer.

Democrats McCain will appoint to his cabinet: Joe Lieberman and Carly Fiorina.

What do you think we will get from an Obama government, except the destruction of everything we value? The Dems know that the time for infighting is over. We need to learn the same lesson. As I said before, we can complain to our heart's content, agitate, organize, lobby, etc. to stop bad McCain policies come November 6. But now we need to hold our fire. It's just two months, it's not that hard.

“Tenuous”? I wonder what planet you’re on. McCain deserves a lot of criticisms, and I’ve given him a lot, but barring the most Hellacious revelations untouched in how-many-years? of public life, the base is locked in by the Palin pick.

It's not a bone, it's his way of reaching out to us. We should give him the benefit of the doubt and meet him halfway. I really think this is more than just a gesture.

I figured as soon as he spoke at the convention, Leiberman’s Demo/Independent days were done.

He can never go back.

Which means he becomes a Republican and never gets elected again (in CT anyway), or he retires.

Or he becomes part of the McCain administration.

He’s fully vested in McCain now.
