By the time Sen. John McCain finished his speech and delegates let out of the Xcel Energy Center, downtown was so devoid of activists that a large diverse crowd gathered in Rice Park couldn't even muster a unified cheer, despite many signs indicating anti- Republican sentiments.
In short, a stranger might not know this is a democratic town.
The end came after protestors who had rallied at the Capitol grounds made several unsuccessful attempts Thursday night to reach the X, site of the Republican National Convention.
Large rows of armed law enforcement officials, many on bicycle or horseback, stopped them at multiple highway bridges and prevented them from crossing.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
It’s fascism, really - trying to shout people down you disagree with so they cannot be heard. It looked like that one miserable lady was trying to do a striptease but couldn’t figure out how.
Had I wanted to cause a ruckus with my friends in Denver, most third world countries lack our capability.
The Panama Red must have been flowing pretty good about that time.
They threw out one last night, too... In fact, he was one of Obama’s top campaign financiers. Not just “any old protester”...

No doubt... The one tonight, AND Obama’s fundraiser last night. How in the world DID they get in? Would be interesting to find out, that’s for sure...
Didn’t we learn not long ago that the moonbats from the media networks were giving these freaks credentials to get in to these things? I think that was happening at the Iraq hearings.
Posted on the LIVE thread tonight...
Protester in the rafters was part of Ron Pauls counter rally.

They are bragging, Ron Paul delegates got him in.
They are bragging about disrupting..

Interesting... Thanks for the info. ~ Just goes to show that these particular Ron Paul supporters were WAY more like the Democrats on the outside of the convention than the Republicans on the inside. A bunch of sore losers, IMHO.
You mean that guy in the pink tutu was a Ron Paul supporter? I should have known. I guess the pink kind of threw me off.

can I get away with this ?
Piss on Ron Paul and all of his diseased lemming followers
I think so. I commented a few days ago that I wouldn’t pi$$ on him if he were on fire and it stayed up. I am with you, I am really sick of Paul and his loons. I mean, he ran in the primaries, he lost, it is time to unite and fight against the communist. I am tired of giving him a pass. There is no discernible difference in he and the moonbats, where foreign policy is concerned, as far as I can see.
"At about 8 p.m., some 200 protestors walked across the Capitol grounds and onto Marion Street, where police used smoke and flash bangs to deter them from turning onto University Avenue. Panicked protestors fled between cars in the parking lot of the Sears building, and some were met by police with nightsticks and pepper spray."
When the one police thug pushed the ABC reporter into the street because "the sidewalk was private" (then threatened to arrest him for blocking traffic) and then a cigar-chomping cop was in on the arrest, is it any surprise that Denver is a "democratic" town?
Apply liberally to the moonbats.
