In simpler terms, the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle states that you cannot make a measurement without affecting the results of the measurement. The mere fact you make the measurement influences the accuracy of the results. Some thinkers have elevated the uncertainty principle to the status of a philosophical principle, called the principle of indeterminacy.
How does this principle apply to Vice-Presidential candidate Governor Sarah Palin?
The mere fact that the measurement of Sarah Palin has begun will affect Sarah Palin. This is the inescapable fact of any measurement.
In the world of Metrology, which is the science that deals with measurement, they devise measurement methods that reduce the influence on the measurements in an effort to achieve the most accurate result. No such accuracy concerns apply to the measurement of Sarah Palin.
I can give you a current example. Barack Obamas supporters have launched an attack on Sarah Palins family. Barack Obama has spoke up warning people to back away from attacks against Sarah Palins family. We can now measure Obamas leadership abilities by observing how his supporters react. If Obama is the leader he claims to be the attacks against Palins family will cease immediately.
This would appear to be a measurement with no outside influences. However, the mere fact I suggested we observe the reaction of Obamas supporters will influence Obamas supporters reaction. We cannot know with certainty the extent of the influence but we can know with certainty that it will have an influence.
Excellent point!!
What is the sound of one million liberals crying?..............
As for the observation factor and the Dems, the chances that they will understand the connection between their behaviour and Obama's leadership qualities is fairly remote.
WAH!!?
Good observations.
Also, I make it a point to read any thread with “Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle” in the title. :)
If you make a bad assumption then the results of your experiment are unlikely to support your theory. In this case it is surely true that Obama and the Democrats are orchestrating the attack while publicly attempting to stand on the higher ground. So your basic assumption is wrong.
So the real experiment is: given Obama's marching orders to destroy this woman, how will the media soldiers react. I think we have seen the proof of that experiment. The soldiers have reacted as would be expected so it is a reasonable theory that Obama did indeed hand out the orders. Unfortunately for Obmaa, his soldiers, like Napoleon's, have met a superior force and are doomed to fail.
That's why at Free Republic we use the Heisenberg Compensator. The FR Heisenberg Compensator is used on media news polls to remove the affected changes in data that would have otherwise resulted in BS data.
;-)
From what I can see, the Democrat TV talking heads have turned on a dime, along with their journalist friends. They got the message to knock it off with the 17-year-old, and have gone on to snarky comments about whether McCain was “impulsive” and if Palin had been “vetted” enough.
Of course, the insinuation is that Palin had not informed the McCain camp of the pregnancy and the DUI. That is the subtext of the questioning; that McCain was tricked, and that he would not have otherwise selected her.
I would love to hear McCain say something like “I have been fully aware of all facts surrounding Ms. Palin from the beginning, and unlike you in the MSM and the Democrat Party, I did not consider any of these facts disqualifying to her candidacy”
Sarah Palin = Shroedinger’s Pit Bull
Obama’s supporters are well aware that his plea to them to knock it off is an empty request designed to give him plausibility deniability = Occam’s Razor
Heisenberg was driving down the highway when he was pulled over by a cop.
Cop: Excuse me, sir, but do you know how fast you were going?
Heisenberg: Why, no, Officer, I don’t - but I know where I am!
Working in an electronics lab we always have to be cognizant of our electronic probes and how much their internal impedance affects the accuracy of the measurement.
The problem is that "stop" means "go" and his people know it.

Finally someone sees what is the truth. Obama has enough control over his people that the attacks would have come to a halt. The Left have no ethics.
Good one. ;^)
I teach physics, that should be a good intro.
Cute! I love it.
I dont completely disagree, but the particles governed
by the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle follow a set of
physical laws that are not alterable.
The pithless honking black-holes that are the Obama
sycophant drones follow no such directing influences.
They are uncontrollable globs of randomly energized
protoplasm. They gladly gargle the bitter-sweet urine of
their leftist leaders and spit it on each other in their pious
pronoiac frenzy.
I for one shall invest in kool-aid stocks today thank you.
Very good and something that should be brought up until the MSM can’t ignore it.
