McCain Strategist Blasts Media

ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 2 -- Sen. John McCain's top campaign strategist accused the news media Tuesday of being "on a mission to destroy" Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin by displaying "a level of viciousness and scurrilousness" in pursuing questions about her personal life.

In an extraordinary and emotional interview, Steve Schmidt said his campaign feels "under siege" by wave after wave of news inquiries that have questioned whether Palin is really the mother of a 4-month-old baby, whether her amniotic fluid had been tested and whether she would submit to a DNA test to establish the child's parentage.

Arguing that the media queries are being fueled by "every rumor and smear" posted on left-wing Web sites, Schmidt said mainstream journalists are giving "closer scrutiny" to McCain's little-known running mate than to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

We need to rally behind John and Sarah and for every lie the enemy tells, we need to send in $ to support them, we need to tell 10 people the truth about them. This is exactly correct tactically, and the timing feels right. We’ve had three days of savage attacks on Gov. Palin. There are a *lot* of people out there who are extremely ticked off at the viciousness of the leftist media.

No thats not necessary, but if Palin was the barracuda she is said to be, she could destroy Obama tonight easily. All she has to do is rehash all the garbage about the left claiming Trig is not her child by showing his birth certificate as proof she is the mother, then show hers to prove she is a US citizen. Then state that what she just did is more than what Obama has done. Then announce as Govenor of Alaska, she has instructed the Election commitee (or whoever is the head of it) that Obama will not be on the ballot until he shows an offical birth certificate proving he is an American citizen, and proof of live birth will not be accepted as proof. The media could no way in hell cover up and its checkmate for Barry!

My friend had a dog that killed on of his pet ducks so he tied the dead duck to the dogs neck and made him live with a dead duck tied to him the rest of the day. Needless to say the dog never messed with the ducks again.

I think the dems view the Palin attacks as being a win-win in two ways..
people who don’t pay much attention will believe all the BS about Palin,
and secondly the McCain camp will have to spend a lot of the bounce money they got after McCain announced Palin as his running mate on television ads to counter all the nasty stuff being aired about Palin.

At one time I was concerned that the "base" for McCain would stay home. Now I'm concerned that the rush to vote will create major traffic jams. The Dems have energized the Republican base like nothing I've ever witnessed.

I’ll bet people would be aghast to learn how much of the Democratic Campaign dollars are going right out the back door to pay off senior leadership and reporters at the MSM to write stories attacking Governor Palin.
